Re: An idea for lego roads

(...) So ya wanna do about 20 of these (for starters)? Looks good, though. Maybe I'll just raise the interior grass baseplates by one plate thickness so they are level with the grass on the road plates. -John Van (27 years ago, 3-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.ideas)

An idea for lego roads  [DAT]

Touch Sensor as a Switch  [DAT]

Here a touch sensor is used as a switch. See my post at lugnet.robotics for more details. Electric plates of the same color belong to the same wire. The green plate is the input.   Re: A neat little pattern

Thanks, John. It's amazing the things that happen when you just play around. :) I am planing on trying this with a couple of other tiles. If they work as well as I hope, I'll post those as well.   A neat little pattern  [DAT]

I was playing around with some of my tiles and I came up with this. (No I don't really have this many of these tiles :) If you have enough of these tiles, this pattern would look cool in a castle.   tachometer for Mindstorms mobile robot  [DAT]

A rotation sensor is connected to a wheel to make a tachometer for your Mindstorms robot. The wheel is suspended in a way to maintain constant contact to the uneven ground. Build two of them, and connect them to each sides of the RCX. Enjoy. Cheers, (...) (27 years ago, 24-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.ideas)

  Large cargo container doors  [DAT]

I finally came up with an idea for truck trailer doors that I like. The doors I previously used were constructed with the 1x4/2x2 flat hinges, thus making the doors narrower than the vehicle.
