Re: Darth Vader Helmet on Parts tracker

(...) FYI, I have fixed a few small errors on this part and have reposted it. Paul (24 years ago, 30-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Darth Vader Helmet on Parts tracker

(...) Yes, please elaborate on you technique. I'm interest in how all part authors model complex parts. This is something I've been meaning to ask for a while now but just haven't remembered. -Orion (24 years ago, 30-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Darth Vader Helmet on Parts tracker

Incredible. I've been interested in doing the Stormtrooper helmet (since I don't have quite the budget to be forking out $3+ for Stormtroopers) so I can model large scenes involving them. But I'm blanking on how to tackle such a small detailed part. (...) (24 years ago, 30-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Darth Vader Helmet on Parts tracker

Hi, I just wanted to let you all know that I posted the Darth Vader minifig helmet to the parts tracker last night. (URL) you download it, be sure to get all the unofficial primitives. Paul (24 years ago, 29-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Color problem- is this a bug in L3P?

(...) I do this sometimes to show the part rendered from a different angle to make it clear what part is being attached... usually it's an assembly of more than one part but not always. (24 years ago, 29-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.cad.ray)

possible rendering problem with LDLite and transparent parts  [DAT]

I have encountered a small problem rendering transparent parts with LDLite 2.4 and I am wondering if anyone else has run into it. consider the file flat.dat, attached It has a trans yellow, trans cyan and trans white brick in it as the first step (...)   New E-mail address

Dear fellow LEGO fans, I am sending this message to the groups I regularly read and post to, because since today my E-mail address that I used to post with no longer exists!   Observatory - revised

Hi all! I am almost done ldrawing the revised version of my observatory. For now there is a render of the telescope: (URL) another teaser: (URL) > (...) I (...) but (...) (24 years ago, 28-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.space)

Re: Help needed with cond. lines

(...) Looking at how the geometry is layed out, I think you've hit a limitation in LDView's smoothing algorithm. In other words, the lack of smoothness is caused by a problem with LDView, not by a problem with your layout. The basic cause of the (...) (24 years ago, 25-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  More Moonbase Madness ...

OK, I just spent 12 hours using MLCAD to create a whole bunch of Moonbase corridors, adapters, and inter-connection modules. After moderation pics and dats will be here : (URL) Carrol's "wide" corridors are *VERY* useful. The nice part is that it's (...) (24 years ago, 25-Mar-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Color problem- is this a bug in L3P?

(...) L3P has a bug with part colors when there is a single part in a sub-file. In this case, you need to ask yourself why you have this case. It seems overkill to have side.ldr with just one part in it. None the less, it is a bug in L3P. (...) LPub (...) (24 years ago, 25-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.cad.ray)

Color problem- is this a bug in L3P?  [DAT]

The attached .mpd file is showing a weird problem with colors when run through L3P and rendered in POV-Ray. There is a subfile that contains a single part. In there, the part's color is set to trans-red (Color36). The parent file sets it to black (...) (24 years ago, 25-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.cad.ray)

Help needed with cond. lines  [DAT]

Could some of the senior-authors please have a look at the cond. lines? I'm in trouble with the section around the visor holes.
