| Hi All, I've been working diligently on LDrawing my Hudson 4-6-4 Steam Engine ((URL) and am finally running up against the seemingly impossible: Is there a way to modify pieces so that they bend and curve? So far, I've replaced bent flex-tubing with (...) (22 years ago, 30-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

| Hi Shaun, I have written a program called lsynth, which does many bendable things like: flex-system hoses, pneumatic hoses, flexibe axles, ribbed hose, electric and fiber optic cables. | (...) This page has a spreadsheet for modeling curved nets. Perhaps that might help with modeling string since the real nets are made of string? | (...) Thanks for the link! I've downloaded the file, read through the readme.txt, and will definitely be using this. It is essentially exactly what I was looking for ... I'm sure I'll be able to simulate nearly all of the hoses, pipes, and conduits (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

I think I'll be able to use this in a number of places - there are several rubber bands wrapped around the stacks on top of the engine, and well as some around the chassis. I'm thinking I might also be able to simulate the (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)
