For flat printed elements, it's usually easy enough to scan the image, and
overlay it with a grid.  So you don't have to do as much eyeballing.

I haven't provided Richard with all of the preliminary stuff for that part
yet- there's a good bit of paperwork I did to work up the "correct" points.
And after that, he went and tweaked the geometry.  Arrggh!!

(...) The short answer is: well, yeah. I typically only use other pieces to measure parts. Having at least two of the part your modeling is very useful -- you can check different sections against each other, to see how they compare. (...) For flat (...) (22 years ago, 11-May-02, to lugnet.cad)
