(...) I've always thought of that color as "tan". As in "tanned leather". It's always made sense to me - but then, I'm in Alberta - surrounded by the cattle market. I've never considered it beige. (...) Beige is whiter than the "tan" bricks (white bricks do turn "tan" in the sun though). Tan, before TLC started making it, was a brownish grey, wasn't it? I would like to call the brick colour "sand". (24 years ago, 3-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general)
