I don't think they have offered it for free in a long time because you can use
it to make cars for a computer game called Midtown Madness, and no one in the
past year has mentioned that they could find a non-warez copy for free (and
believe me, this would be a big thing so I don't think it has happened).
Though Autodesk has announced that it will be offering a scaled down free
version especially for the gaming community. Just go to this site:
