To me atleast MLCad's way of placing parts is the most common and natural way of
placing parts in a 3D. Click a part in the virual bucket of LEGO and drag to the
enviroment. Integrate snapping, alingning, auto hinge, fit technic pieces and
create hoses and a like. Since I am personally so used to work in MLCad, I
simply cannot get a hang of working with SR3D, LD4studio or LDD for that matter.
If next generation LDraw editors would work similar like MLCad I think we're
there. Since I think MLCad is still the most used editor around (is it?)

| (...) Although I do like the mlcad approach, the biggest problem I use to have with it is obstruction. Especially with bigger models. I do plan to support multiple view ports in my new editor but those will all be 'perspective' in order to solve the (...) (14 years ago, 2-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad)

| Hi all, I've been working on a new LDraw editor on and off during summer. I'm planning to resume the project during my vacation after I've released a new LD4DStudio version. The project is more or less a study project to me in order to get some (...) (14 years ago, 31-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad)
