This never had an official LEGO color code, since it was a coating on top of
color 2 (gray).

I think this is 131 Silver

This is 298 Cool Silver, Drum Lacq (Drum lacquered)

I think this is 296 Cool Silver

I believe this is 179 Flip/Flop Silver
There was also 301 Metalized Silver (but I think only Clickits sets used this)
and 304 Cool Silver, Diffuse (silver sprayed over black).
Gun Metallic, Metallic Light Grey and Metallic Dark Grey all look kinda silver
(rather rare colors, though)
While discussing the subject with a TLG employee, I learned that they've gone to
great lengths over the years (shyeah, obviously) to try to get "Silver right."
Apparently, it's been quite the struggle. :)

| (...) See, and this has just gotten more screwed up now. The Collectible Minifig Robot has a distinctly different color of paint used on its helmet, arm, and claw hands than the color used for the Agents villain's arms. (...) I believe the Metallic (...) (14 years ago, 29-Jun-10, to lugnet.cad)
