LDraw can handle line wraps, while LDLite cannot (at least it used to have
trouble, unless the new version fixed this). Check for lines in the .dat file
which wrap around to the next line, and fix them.
I read your post more carefully, and it does look like the problem is caused
by the light saber blade, which is the connection between the halves of the
cockpit fuselage. Does the lightsabre blade render? It would be poking out
from the rear portion if it did. The color used on the blade is 43, but I
can't think of anything else unusual about the part.

| This file renders okay in LDRAW, but when I try to render this file in LDLite 1.6, I get the horizontal wing, the engine assemblies, and then everything disappears, and the rear portion of the cockpit fuselage is rendered, but the windscreen is not, (...) (26 years ago, 19-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad)
