LDraw.org 2009-01 Parts Update Now Available

The 2009-01 LDraw parts update has been now been released. This update includes 671 files in the core library, including 307 new parts, and many more files updated with improvements for Back Face Culling support. A total of 19 parts have been (...)   Re: Undercarriage

(...) Also MLCad is able to know the unofficial path. You have to modify the MLCad.ini file. Have a look at Hollywood's homepage, there you can find how to do that. (17 years ago, 28-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Undercarriage

(...) You can set both MLCad and LDView for unofficial folder. I have done it here! For MLCad it is not that easy like for LDView, but you can find informations on that here (URL) (17 years ago, 28-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Still no zip file for 2008-01?

(...) On further investigation, it is now clear why I did this. All three files are obsolete and not used by any official parts and as primitives/subparts should not be directly referenced in models. Because this update was a complete library (...) (17 years ago, 28-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

  Re: Undercarriage

(...) You need to put the unofficial parts in a seperate folder, but you can keep them mixed with the official parts as well at the same time. If you do want to keep them separate, you can point LDview to the unofficial folder (as you already (...) (17 years ago, 28-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Undercarriage

(I thought I already answered but don't see the message appear...) (...) That's what I do too. But I keep a pure official library in a separate folder. I use this as LDraw library path for MPD wizard while my regular LDraw folder is the unofficial (...) (17 years ago, 27-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Next parts update?

(...) Great! Thanks for your effort, Chris! Jaco (17 years ago, 24-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Undercarriage

(...) That's what I do too. But I have in another folder an intact official library. When I run MPD Wizard, I use this reference lib as the LDraw library, and my regular LDraw folder as unofficial parts path. Philo (17 years ago, 27-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Undercarriage

(...) Thanks! (...) I did try MPD Wizard but it didn't really work... perhaps because I've got the unofficial parts mixed with the official parts? I know it's bad to do it that way but if I put them into a separate directory (I can pretty easily (...) (17 years ago, 25-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Still no zip file for 2008-01?

(...) Thanks for pointing this out. I don't understand how those files got to become zero-length, but these will be restored in the next parts update (which is under development at present). Chris Dee (LDraw Parts Library Admin) (17 years ago, 27-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

  Re: Undercarriage

Hi Santeri, (...) A very nice model! (...) I would put it in your Majhost gallery (because of the close relationship with Brickshelf I see no reason why it would not be allowed. eg. the TOS is the same...) Try to include all unofficial parts in the (...) (17 years ago, 25-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  MiniBots

Hi, my son Sandro and I started to do instructions for our minibots. Since the last upload eight are already available after moderation.   Re: SR 3D Builder user manual

(...) The keyboard is usually much faster than the mouse, and I have all the commands memorized already (as do most people who use MLCAD, because it uses the same commands). -Mike (17 years ago, 15-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: SR 3D Builder user manual

(...) Hi, I don't ever try lEdit so I think it doesn't. Anyway you should not need keyboard to position parts, and my program is totally different! Sergio (17 years ago, 15-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: SR 3D Builder user manual

(...) I will have to try it soon. Question: does the program support LEdit's keyboard commands? -Mike (17 years ago, 15-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad)
