I've seen this problem a few times myself. I've found there are more parts
that have this problem. Up till now I've found at least three parts.
1) the bottom end of the hinge as mentioned below (hinge plate 2x5 base,
3149.dat, converts to tipper end, 3145.dat)
2) the sloped brick 33 3x6, 3939.dat  (converts to Cone 2x2x2 with hollow
stud, 3942B.dat)
3) the motorcycle wheel centre with stub axles, 3464.dat  (converts to
propellor 4 blade 5 diameter with rotor holder, 4361.dat)

I am using MLCAD and L3P.

It seems the conversion happens when you use LGEO parts.
So far I'm working around this by not converting my parts to LGEO when using
L3P

In a model that I built in LeoCAD, I used the 2x5 complete hinge • assembly.
(part #3149c01).  However, when I ran the .dat file through LPub (then • through
L3P) then into POV-ray, I noticed that the lower plate of the hinge • assembly
seemed to have been replaced with part #3145 (the old tipper end). • <cut>
Any help or hints would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Allan B.

Hi Allan,

Did you ever get this issue resolved?  I've never heard of an issue • where LPub
was adding parts, unless it is recognising a part that is synthesized by • LSynth.

I'm trying to dregde up all LPub bugs so I can shoot them and and fix • them
before the next release.

Kevin

I've been working on model 8872, the forklift transport and I've again found some parts that do not convert the right way from Ldraw to LGEO: part: 6536.dat / Technic Axle Joiner Perpendicular is rotated 90 degrees part: 2905.dat / Technic Triangle (...) (20 years ago, 9-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad)
