I've run a color table and compared the color outputs from LDraw with
POV-Ray and I reached the conclusion that they don't match very well.
Something that sometimes is greener in LDraw turns out bluish in
POV-Ray. The same goes with all the other colors and different tones, so
it's very difficult to choose a color that is good for both.
True colors match well, but midtones are not so good.
Tones of green/bluish green that seem to be somewhat similar in LDraw
and POV-Ray are:
291, 434, 282 and 306
I personally choose 291 for competition/CyberMaster sets, but it was a
hard choice.
I probably will use one for rendering in LDraw/LDLite and another color
in POV-Ray.
Does anyone knows how to run a color matching between LDraw and POV-Ray?
