    Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144 —Burkhard Schloemer
Hi, I'm looking for DATs of two windscreen elements, especially 41881 "Windscreen 6x12x6 curved" (from Jango Fett's Slave I): (URL) also for windscreen "4x6x4" aka tv chopper windscreen: (URL) far as I know they don't even exist as mock-ups, which (...)         Re: Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144 —Paul Easter
(...) I'll see what I can do. I can make a mock-up of x144 and I have ordered a couple of the 41881's through Peeron and Bricklink, so I should have them in a few days. Paul (21 years ago, 13-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144 —Andrew Kochan
(...) You know that both those parts are on the parts tracker and on the way to becoming official provided they are reviewed, fixed, reviewed, fixed, etc. Just go to www.ldraw.org and download them. -Andy (21 years ago, 13-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144 —Paul Easter
(...) Andy, that would be great, can you give us links to each of the files? I can't seem to locate them. Paul (21 years ago, 13-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144 —Burkhard Schloemer
(...) Well Andy, that would indeed be news. Thanks for your help ... Just for the record, there are no such files. Andy, whatever it is you're smoking, you better quit ... ;) Paul, your work (especially on the 41881) will be appreciated! :) (21 years ago, 13-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144 —Andrew Kochan
(...) Sorry. x144 is actually not there. I thought you meant the curved helicopter windscreen which is. The Windscreen 6x12x6 is actually Wedge 6x8x2 Triple which is almost the same part but for the little hook on the end I didn't catch in my quick (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144 —Burkhard Schloemer
(...) Well, NOW I see what you mean. I still disagree :) Both parts are based on the same design concept, however the "Slave I" windscreen is so much bigger that I would hardly call both parts "almost the same". Little hook? A difference of "4" in (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144 —Paul Easter
(...) I have a near complete mock-up for the x144. Should I give it one of my x-numbers? (approx. x531) I'm not sure we can use x144 since there was a part that had originally used 144.(it has since been moved to a correct number) Anyone have a (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144 —Chris Dee
(...) Yes, please use a new three-digit-number. You are correct that you cannot re-use one of these once is has been used in an official release - even if moved later. Chris (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144 —Paul Easter
   (...) I have posted the "Windscreen 4 x 6 x 4" (helecopter) to the parts tracker. (URL) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144 —Burkhard Schloemer
(...) Paul, the part looks great! Renders well in POV-Ray too. Thanks alot! Certified, so to say. ;) Oh, except for one thing. I don't know who came up with the part description "4x6x4" in the first place, but after a close inspection both the (...) (21 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144 —Paul Easter
(...) Your welcome. I had it almost done when the parts arrived, so I was able to model it from a real part. (...) LOL, you are correct, it is 4 x 5 x 3. I copy/pasted it right into the file. I didn't even give it a second look. (...) The 41881 is (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)
