  Re: Previous step color scaling

(...) Sure, you will be able to. I used a modified version of PreL3P, my little tool for replacing color codes. I'll post version 1.3 which will include this ability (loading different configurations partway through a model) soon, once I take care (...) (17 years ago, 16-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Previous step color scaling

(...) Wow. That looks nice. Can I do this too? You mentioned creating separate files for each cumulative step in the model - as Bricksmith exports. Isn't Bricksmith Mac software? I have a PC with MLCad... Jaco (17 years ago, 16-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad)

  L3PAO Bug

It seems L3PAO doesn't save the prefered defualt settings correctly from the Seam Width value field. If I enter "0.6", then exit the program and start it again, the field shows "0,6" which gives #declare SW = 0; // Width of seam between two bricks (...) (17 years ago, 16-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad)

  LPub error

Hi there, I got a question from a Dutch user of LPub. He is not able to render pictures with either POV-Ray, LDView nor LDGLite. LDView and LDLite (and LDGLite) do work without using LPub. He gets this error: "The handle is invalid". Pictures that (...) (17 years ago, 16-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: PreL3P 1.2

(...) No, it doesn't. It seems you fixed that little problem, too. /Tore (17 years ago, 16-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Previous step color scaling

(...) Yeah, that's a workable strategy. It's what I did here: (URL) assume LPub makes it easier for the user by coming up with the scaled colors automatically. Jim (17 years ago, 16-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Previous step color scaling

(...) Travis, You are correct. LPub does this as a POV post-process. LPub could instead, do this in the step-dats with hexidecimal coloring, but I've not gotten that done (yet?) Kevin (17 years ago, 16-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: PreL3P 1.2

(...) Jaco's (URL) question> about color scaling gave me the idea for this. By allowing meta commands anywhere in the model to be applied as it is processed, different color substitution schemes can be used for different parts of the model. So, if (...)   Re: Highly confused about Library Updates for MLCad

(...) According to comments in my copy of the 6141 file, 0 // Part 6141 is the counterpart of 4073. Visually, the two parts seem 0 // identical. This file is provided to make it easier to locate part files 0 // when using the numbers used in LEGO (...) (17 years ago, 16-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  DatShine v1.02  [DAT]

(URL) far, only TransYellow illumination is defined. (in attribute file L46.ldr) No command line input yet, just an old-fashioned dialog. Improvemnts to the L46.ldr file are very welcome, as well as more POV attribute definition .ldr files! More (...) (17 years ago, 16-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New POV-dat: 3062bL46.dat - Brick 1 x 1 Round Yellow with POV Light

Highly confused about Library Updates for MLCad

Hello everybody! For years I have been using MLCad, and I am grateful for the great service and support of the software. I recently installed the official parts updates for MLCad offered at the relating website. But now suddenly I have 2 1x1 round (...) (17 years ago, 16-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Previous step color scaling

(...) Pitty. Then the images MLCad produce will have to do. Thanks! (17 years ago, 15-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Previous step color scaling

(...) That's too bad. I was just reading an article the other day that would've been perfect for this. (URL) was actually looking for something better than glzoompixels to rescale the image buffer, not the colors in the buffer.) Oh well, Don (17 years ago, 15-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: PreL3P 1.2

  PreL3P 1.2

(...) PreL3P 1.2 is now available: (URL) added "-map" option to renumber color codes - added meta commands to specify options in config files or the model itself As always, bug reports are welcome (as are suggestions for a more accurate name, (...) (17 years ago, 15-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New POV-dat: 3062bL46.dat - Brick 1 x 1 Round Yellow with POV Light

(...) Sorry, don't have the time to make models right now. I am currently writing a program to automatically create dat files of "shining" parts. I call it datshine.exe and I am very excited over it. Well, here's one quite strange model I rushed (...) (17 years ago, 15-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Call for Nominations: 2007/2008 LDraw.org Standards Committee (LSC)

However, as I just explained to Orion, "since I'm not very familiar (...) (17 years ago, 15-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Previous step color scaling

(...) I can't be sure, but it appears that LPub modifies the POV files that come out of L3P in order to get that effect, instead of modifying the LDraw files it sends to L3P/LDView/LDGLite. So until this is changed in LPub, it doesn't appear that (...) (17 years ago, 15-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad)
