Re: Comments about James Mathis' Factory Sets

Hello, Ville, Thank you very much for buying these three train models. (...) You have examined them more closely than I did to find faults with the design. To the Pullman Car, I made no changes. To the DB103 I made the suggested changes: - floor (...) (18 years ago, 12-Dec-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: LDD vs LDraw

Hi Chris, Some of what you ask for in MLCad can already be done... (...) This surprises me. I've never had a problem. (...) You can sort of do this with submodels (...) Apart from looking nicer I don't think there's any viewing that LDView can do (...) (18 years ago, 13-Dec-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LDD vs LDraw

(...) I have used LDD (a little) and MLcad (occasionally over several years) and had already given this topic some thought, so here goes. If I were writing a new CAD program, it would do everything MLcad can do today, plus: I like the way that LDD (...) (18 years ago, 13-Dec-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LDD vs LDraw

(...) I think there's some discussion on this topic already, but my view is that LDD and LDRAW each have their place. LDD Pros: -Easy to use with a gentler learning curve. Most kids can figure it out. -Quite rapid to construct models. -Real-time (...) (18 years ago, 13-Dec-06, to lugnet.cad)

  LDD vs LDraw

Hey gang, So with the update on licensing soon to be finished for the LDraw community, it got me to thinking about the Pros and Cons of LDD vs the LDraw toolset. So I thought I would throw it out to the community to see what other thought. What are (...) (18 years ago, 13-Dec-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: TCLTC Layouts Rendered in Sketch-up

(...) Wow, that's really nifty. Can you imagine how cool an entire NMRA 3-D layout model would look? Naturally the next question would be: so when are you going to add some trains? However I suspect I already know the answer: "Ross has been working (...) (18 years ago, 13-Dec-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains.org.tcltc, lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Is the part 4515 slope face granular ?
