  LDD "hackers" made CNET

(URL) For those of you following the efforts of LDD users in streamlining the bag use in LDD, CNET published a cool article about it, and LEGO's reaction to their work. Quoted are Dan Malec, Larry Pieniazek, and Jake McKee (among others). I find it (...) (19 years ago, 15-Sep-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.cad, lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

  LDD Loading Problem

LDD is not working for me...it won't load! After starting the program, the start-up page comes on-screen and indicates that it is loading parts. It gets to 182 parts and freezes. Checking on system performance shows LDD to be non-responsive and (...) (19 years ago, 15-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: My humble opinion about LDraw animation

Ok, this post took me a long time to get through... (...) Ah. I've never cared for instructions... I didn't take that into account when I wrote the article... (...) I was only familiar with POV-Ray (well, I'm starting to be familiar with others now (...) (19 years ago, 14-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.animation)

  LDD story on Metropolismag.com

Metropolismag.com has an interesting LDD story: (URL) Among other things, it says that the beta version of LDD has been downloaded 700,000 times (not sure exactly what they mean by "beta" since it's been available for a while), and almostl 32,000 (...)   Re: Bag inventories now available in LDD format!

My apologies; the previous link was broken because I'm new to LUGNET and its conventions for posting links. Here is the corrected link to direct download all of the LDD Factory palettes organized by bag: (URL) (19 years ago, 12-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Bag inventories now available in LDD format!

I'd like to mention to everyone that currently all of the Factory starter sets have been inventoried by bag and converted into custom palettes (.TIX files) for use in LDD. I'd suggest visiting the Brickwiki site first, but there is also a direct (...) (19 years ago, 12-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Question on dithered color subfiling

(...) looks like we have to do more chit chat how this advise shall be applied. please read my consideration at ldraw's PT: (URL) avoid further confusion I'm in favor to work out a general note which could be used by the reviewers to tag old parts (...) (19 years ago, 11-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Question on dithered color subfiling

(...) Thanks, that was my default assumption. I only needed a confirmation from the LSC. Ampi (19 years ago, 10-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Question on dithered color subfiling

Right. As stated in (URL) I had my part certified in no time (URL) but it being published in a new 'parts update' is taking a bit longer... :) (19 years ago, 9-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Question on dithered color subfiling

(...) While this is no longer a requirement, I feel that parts conforming to the old standard are not wrong and a hold vote based solely on this would probably be excessive. I would, however, make note of it in the review comments. -Orion (19 years ago, 9-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad)
