Re: LPub Orientation and Half-Size LDraw files

(...) <snip> (...) Yes, but I want all to be able to update it. Do you really think CVS is the right thing to use for non-programmers? (...) Yes, I know that I can use the current viewers to display the rendered part, but I still need a bit of code (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub Orientation and Half-Size LDraw files

Hi Kevin, --SNIP-- (...) I think that is a good idea. I've never changed it myself but I'd be mighty annoyed if it got overwritten. Another possibility is have one file in the LPub directory (for the defaults) and another in LDRAWDIR/LPub for user (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: img2sticker: Convert images into .ldr stickers

(...) Strictly speaking though, (almost) any filter is invertible. Of course you do need to know what the original filter was which is easier said than done. (...) Although it even worse as the image has been stored a a jpeg which bleeds the colours (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LPub Orientation and Half-Size LDraw files

(...) If you use the sourceforge, the files in CVS are automatically made available via http by the CVS web interface. I think a web page could be constructed that always points to the latest. (...) You could do this by launching any of the viewers (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

LPub Orientation and Half-Size LDraw files

One of the "features" of LPub is to create part list images and bill of materials images, modeling those concepts found in LEGO building instructions. One of the issues I noticed years ago when I first used LPub for book authoring was that not all (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

  IFPOV Question  [DAT]

I noticed that I can only use IFPOV to replace a dat file for pov code but I can't something like this 0 WRITE remove comment #end 1 57 0 -52 89 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 6041.DAT 0 WRITE remove comment #if (ls6115_Propellor=0) // no movement 0 WRITE remove (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: img2sticker: Convert images into .ldr stickers

(...) Hmm, I don't think so. Traditional antialiasing spreads the partial pixel errors from a line (or edge) into the adjacent pixels. In order to undo it you'd need to know where the line is, but that's the very information you're trying to recover (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: img2sticker: Convert images into .ldr stickers

(...) I did know that ;-) (and checked through all documents to make sure I had it right). I blame it on posting too long after I'd turned into a pumpkin. The thing is, anti-aliasing should be invertible if you know the routine used to perform it in (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Odd problem with Lpub

(...) Hi Lenny, You must be using an older version of LPub. When I ran your model through the latest LPub, it complained about three files having blanks in the names: "Pullback motor", "barding left", and "barding right". Once I renamed these (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Odd problem with Lpub

So I made a (URL) version> of my (URL) horses>. So this is what I got: (URL) Notice how there is an extra copy of the barding piece floating in the mid-below area? Why is this happening? How can I fix it? -Lenny (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: img2sticker: Convert images into .ldr stickers

(...) Just as a note, it's actually antialiasing, not aliasing. Aliasing (aka jaggies) is the problem that antialiasing solves. And you're right; it's very difficult to undo normally. On the other hand, for images that stickers are likely to be made (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: img2sticker: Convert images into .ldr stickers

(...) I suspect that using this would be risky. My program actually implements a find-nearest colours routine but when dealing with aliased images, often the aliasing will come out to be grey, dark grey or even weirder colours (I match in HSV space (...)   Re: img2sticker: Convert images into .ldr stickers

(...) Wow! Such a simple and practical solution. Added to the start of the tutorial. Tim (19 years ago, 29-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: img2sticker: Convert images into .ldr stickers

(...) I have a comment on the tutorial. It's probably easier to let your image editing program get rid of the antialiasing. If you're using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, all you have to do is change the image mode to indexed color, then select a (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Access violation in LPub.exe

(...) I don't have the answer to this one (sorry), but while you're testing lpub with ldglite do you think you could try the latest: (URL) antialiasing turned on (-q in in the ldglite settings), and give me your opinion. It's not exactly what I want (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Access violation in LPub.exe

Rendering using LDView gives me this error: Access violation at address 00441607 in module 'LPub.exe'. Read of address 01BB0000. What could be wrong here? Rendering the same model using LDGLite works fine... (19 years ago, 29-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)
