  Re: LPub 2.3 available

(...) I forgot to mention that I tested LPub on Windows XP and Windows 98. Kevin (19 years ago, 10-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: txt2dat - Create LDraw files from text

(...) You can find it (URL) here>. ROSCO PS: Does anyone want the brick.ttf font? It's not really very useful because of the limited characters, but if anyone wants it, I'll make a separate download page for it. (19 years ago, 10-May-05, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

  Re: LPub 2.3 available

(...) Hi Kevin, should we uninstall previous versions before installing this version, or will it upgrade ok? ROSCO (19 years ago, 10-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub rendering wrong camera angle for instructions

(...) Ok cool. I'll give it a go and let you know what happens. (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub rendering wrong camera angle for instructions

(...) There are a number of reliability problems with the version you are using. I'd try the new one rather than wrestling with the old one. It is undoubtedly an LPub bug. Kevin (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub rendering wrong camera angle for instructions

(...) As an aside, I'll be trying out the new version you just announced, I just want to figure this problem out with the version I have first. (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub rendering wrong camera angle for instructions

(...) Yeah, that's pretty confusing. (...) Ok. In MLCad I've added an absolute rotation step of 30,45,0 to the beginning of my ldraw file. I've added a rotation end step to the end of it. When I try it now in LPub it crashes: L3P failed for file (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

  LPub 2.3 available

I'm happy to announce the release of LPub 2.3. Enhancements from LPub 2.2 include: - POV Ray 3.6 support - PNG replaces BITMAP and JPEG formats. - PNG support for transparency - Layout support for multiple steps per page - New REMOVE_GROUP (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.cad) !

Re: txt2dat - Create LDraw files from text

(...) Well I worked out the scale factor, and imported the DATs into an Access db (some had to have some stuff inlined first) then manually went through the polygons working out all the verteces and entered them directly using Font Creator. (...) (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

Re: LPub rendering wrong camera angle for instructions

(...) Hi Jon, This is not very clean in LPub, but the Globe Camera stuff does not affect building instructions. One thing LEGO does in their building instructions is turn the model, to make the backside of the model visible. MLCad provides ROTSTEP (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

LPub rendering wrong camera angle for instructions

I'm using LPub 2.2.0.0 Why does LPub generate a render with the correct camera angle when I do a "Complete Assembly" but not when I generate "Instruction Images". In this case the camera angle is supposed to be globe, lattitude: 30, longitude: 45, (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: txt2dat - Create LDraw files from text

(...) coerce it into TrueType format? Always one to push my luck, I do have two little quibbles. I liked the way version 1.4 printed the usage info when running txt2dat with no args. Now it prints a weird error message. Also, the internal default (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

Re: New Building Instructions from the latest LPub

(...) I've stopped adding new features. I have been in testing phase. The building instructions I just posted were pushed through LPub to try to flesh out a lot of bugs. I've finished updating the docs. I hope that I can release it today or (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.inst)

  Re: Ldraw.org still alive?

(...) We are still alive and kicking. I personally have had very little time to devote to side activities lately due to a change in position at work and my impending move to Hawaii in 3 months. The library updates are on hold until we develop a (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: txt2dat - Create LDraw files from text

(...) Your wish is my command... well almost. (URL) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Ldraw.org still alive?

(...) While I can NOT talk for the rest of the LDraw staff last I checked (today) LDraw.org IS still alive. The LDraw Help Desk gets at least one email a day from users all over the place asking questions on how to install the software, issues with (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Ldraw.org still alive?

Hello, it's been almost two months since anything happened on www.ldraw.org. No news, no library updates, no SOTM/MOTM. Is the Steering Committee busy with far more important things like going commercial or selling out to TLC? What is going on? (19 years ago, 8-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: New Building Instructions from the latest LPub

(...) You don't actually NEED to uninstall first. It handles upgrades/reinstalls (and subsequent uninstalls) very nicely. (19 years ago, 6-May-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.inst)

Re: New Building Instructions from the latest LPub

(...) Hi Kevin. Any idea when this new release will be available for download? No hurry or anything, but I've got a couple of instruction I want to generate sometime this year or the next, and would like to have a go at it. Do you want a beta (...)   Re: txt2dat - Create LDraw files from text

(...) Maybe it's a language thing. I've seen hints that some of the desktop.ini bits behave differently when you're set up for a different language. Or perhaps the OEMs package Windows differently for other countries and skip the desktop.ini file in (...) (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)
