Re: Anyone modelled the 4492 yet ?

(...) Yeah, that's mine, done with mockups of the new wedge plates. The plates on Parts Tracker are better, and since I used the correct part numbers, easy to replace my mockups with the PT versions. Doesn't have the binoculars (left that off due to (...) (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, FTX)

Re: New LDraw based editor... GLIDE. Version Alpha 0.73

(...) Having written an OpenGL-based LDraw viewer (LDView), I'd like to point out that you can't rely on parts to contain BFC information. As time goes by, more and more parts are BFC certified, but many aren't, and many may never be. (I hope that (...) (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.cad)

Introducing the 2004-2005 LDraw.org Steering Committee

Introducing the 2004-2005 LDraw.org Steering Committee It is our great pleasure to introduce ourselves as the first elected LDraw.org Steering Committee. Over the past few days, we have been settling into our roles, doing housekeeping, and orienting (...)   Re: library license

(...) I imagine we would define the author of the Parts Library as LDraw.org? The point for me is, parts authors are submitting their work towards the community effort. It makes much more sense to me that the community organization licenses out the (...) (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)

Re: New LDraw based editor... GLIDE. Version Alpha 0.73

Hi The next version is now out. ALPHA 0.73. There have been no big changes. They should be in the next version. New stuff: You can now select bricks by color. The drag selection now works. Some brick type tabs have been added. Next version will be (...) (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Mac Brick CAD and the Imerial Star Destroyer

(...) Ah, that explains my mysteriously low load time. I did the measurement on the 2nd try. So, I'd say anything drawing in the fps range is certainly getting some benefit from the opengl acceleration. Don (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: library license

(...) Would it simplify things for part authors who don't care about the license to declare their parts to be public domain? Because I really don't want to be bothered wrestling over a license for the handful of files I had anything to do with. Don (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

In lugnet.trains, David Laswell wrote: ... (...) TrackDraw in its current state addresses all of the features you mentioned in a prior post: more than 4 connection points, 'true' rendering (baseplates exactly stitch), etc. I don't doubt though that (...)   Re: library license

(...) The only blurry point I see with those is the clause: "Any of these conditions can be waived if you get permission from the author." Who is the author of the parts library? ROSCO (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)
