  Re: Web-based LDraw viewing

(...) Well, you'd need to install something in order to use SVG or Java, too. Anyway, LD2VR doesn't look like it's finished. (21 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

  New Part: Modulex\plt0116.dat - Modulex (R) Plate 1 x 16  [DAT]

Modulex "plates" are half the height of Modulex bricks. When dealing with clone brands, I called parts with this height relation semi-bricks. But I don't think the are any plates 1/3 of a brick in Modulex. So I think we can call them Plates. What do (...) (21 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: some experiments with HDRI and PovRay

(...) FULL STOP!!!!! sry for double-posting, but it IS possible to use HDRI in POV-Ray. You have to have MLPOV! (Patch for POv-Ray 3.5) Further information: (URL) ask me if they can be treated like normal POV-Files. I don't even have MLPov... (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: some experiments with HDRI and PovRay

Hm I have googled a bit and found out that HDRI is a shader for 3DSMAX, which is a little bit to extreme for me. This program is so strong, that it flattens me. (*cough*) The images are really cool, but it requires much more knowledge of the (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: some experiments with HDRI and PovRay

(...) Okay, here's a comment: I like it. :) I don't know anything about HDRI, so can you explain how you integrate it with a POV file? Also, would it be possible to put one of your pov files containing some hdri stuff in your BrickShelf folder? Good (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Re: some experiments with HDRI and PovRay

some experiments with HDRI and PovRay

Hi everyone, I just started some experiments with povray and .hdr-files. You can see some of the results in my brickshelf gallery: (2 URLs) Calculation of such pictures is much faster than with the radiosity includes from digitalbricks and others. (...)   Re: Web-based LDraw viewing

(...) I'm having a hard time finding any recent info on it. It also looks like one would have to install something in order to use it (which I'm trying to stay away from). I talked about it with a friend of mine over the weekend and he thinks he (...) (21 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

Re: LDrawIni API (was: LDRAWPREDIRS LDRAWPOSTDIRS - additional search paths)

(...) I like the LDSDF_SKIP bit-flag but I don't think we need to add a parameter to to LDrawIniComputeRealDirs(). Here's why. The parameter would make it all or nothing for skipped dirs. I'd rather toggle the LDSDF_SKIP bit-flags of some of the (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)
