Re: Adding part updates (and clone parts)

(...) Since it's been about a month now, I figure it's time to check up on this again. Anything happening here, or is it now a hopelessly lost cause. Given the recent happy announcement, I'm assuming it's been indefinitely put off. By the way, where (...) (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: New LDraw Animation: Rotation Animation

(...) Great stuff. Thanks, Steven. I actually was planning to do something similar. I'll probably end up writing an include file similar to the walking minfig include, only it will automatically rotate the wheels on any car model. Anyway, I wanted (...)   Re: Mac Brick CAD 2.1b1 New Release

(...) This is strange as shift-clicking to select multiple parts works fine for me, I verified this last night on version 2.1b1. However a thought came to me later during the night that I haven't yet been able to verify: while I haven't deliberately (...) (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Re: [request] filter for PT queue

Re: [request] filter for PT queue

(...) Heh. It might not be complete - when new scripts are added, I have to manually add them to the script that builds the download file. The alternative is to pull in scripts based on location or name, and that might get scripts that are not ready (...) (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: L3P and Animation (Was: Automated minifig walking animation...)

(...) Yep, I've encountered this before and "solved" it the same way. LPUB will render this correctly, however. Place a CLEAR statement at the beginning of each step, then load the master file in LPUB and ask it to generate instruction steps without (...)   Newbie LSynth Question

Next question: I'm trying to use LSynth. I have followed the directions in the book (Virtual Lego) but when I launch LSynth it says "Unable to find lsynth install directory". So am I missing another environment variable? LSynth was installed by the (...) (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad)

  New LDraw Animation: Rotation Animation

Thanks to Steven Krass we have a new LDraw tutorial on the very hot topic right now... ANIMATION!!!! Steven will show you how to make this simple animation: (URL) So where do you get it?   Re: Help Request: LDList & LDLite Problems

(...) It should be set by the automatic installer at ldraw.org, but it neither sets the variable nor creates LDraw.ini (with its BaseDirectory key). /Tore (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad)

L3P and Animation (Was: Automated minifig walking animation...)

Re: Help Request: LDList & LDLite Problems

(...) Actually, it is in the book. It comes on the CD, is installed by the automagic installer, and its use is covered in Chapter 4, page 37. But clearly, I was missing this environment variable. Anyway, thanks for the help on this. I appreciate it! (...) (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Help Request: LDList & LDLite Problems

(...) It's not in the book. The programs covered in the book set this environmental varible automatically so I assume it wasn't worth mentioning. LDList, however, is not covered in the book and doesn't automatically set this varible. -Orion (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Help Request: LDList & LDLite Problems

(...) Orion, Thanks! That fixed my LDList problem right away. I as assuming it was some simple newbie kind-of problem. So was this in the book and I just missed it? I went back through that section (Chapter 2) and didn't see anything about setting (...) (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Help Request: LDList & LDLite Problems

(...) Hi Kim, I have some answers for you: LDList needs to know where you installed LDraw. Here's how you tell LDList the correct information by setting the LDRAWDIR environment varible: - Click on the start menu - Right click on My Computer and (...) (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Automated minifig walking animation include file for Povray (Was: 8002 destroyer)

(...) I think I have the same idea as you have. The function (method?) "<Minifig01>.MFWalk = 40" is unfortunately hard-coded inside the exe file. I don't want it that way. I want it to be an external, easy-to-make module from a library, and the next (...) (21 years ago, 18-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.animation)

Help Request: LDList & LDLite Problems

At Brickfest PDX this last weekend I obtained a copy of Tim, Steve & Ahui's "Virtual Lego" book. I'm really quite enjoying it! I've been a peripheral user of the LDraw parts library for years now but I stopped upgrading once the parts reference was (...) (21 years ago, 18-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad)

LDA2001 Quickstart (Was: Automated minifig walking...)

(...) My program was written a couple of years ago. The primary idea was not the program itself, but to create a syntax that could cover all needs for animation. There are many programmers at Lugnet much more skilled than me, so I thought that if (...) (21 years ago, 18-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.animation)

  Re: New website: www.holly-wood.it

(...) I see them now. I missed that the image was a live link. Excellent quality images there. Was the moonscape background done in the render program or is it post processed?
