Re: Stud5 and type 5 lines at edge of cylinders.

(...) Is there a reason that the cylinder primitives haven't been updated to work like the sphere primitive? As long as there are type 5 lines on both ends of each partial cylinder, and the control point out in space is tangent to the cylinder (...)   Re: Some more insert shortcuts

(...) Good work Overkamp, Can you please use the standrads that I talked about in this post: (URL) a nut shell make a sub-folder and call it something like "02 - Overkamp's Floors", place this sub-folde under the "LDraw" main folder in the POV-Ray (...) (21 years ago, 17-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Hurray for Orion! (or radiosity files updated again!)

(...) Just to tack a little footnote onto this, If anyone wants to tweak this file feel free and post the results here or Email me or Jeroen. I know for certain that the black rubber definition needs work and the bump definition is a little too (...) (21 years ago, 17-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Some more insert shortcuts

Since it turns out the insert menu in POV-Ray is so easy to use, I decided to make some shortcuts for the floor files I use so often. (URL) zip file includes seven floor files and a readme. It is the same readme as on the website, and explains the (...) (21 years ago, 17-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Track Designer Registry

In lugnet.trains, Jonathan Wilson wrote: ... (...) ... IMO, that's a pretty amusing statement. Without you having seen either the source to Track Designer or TrackDraw, I think it is a reach to say which would be easier to port to Linux. TrackDraw (...)   Re: Track Designer Registry

(...) I was unaware that was the point you were making. But if it is, (I was confused, your post read like a multiplatform rant rather than a request to get the source available) why yes, I agree. It's been a year since the community last tried to (...) (21 years ago, 17-Aug-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad)

Hurray for Orion! (or radiosity files updated again!)

Hi all, While I was asleep Orion added the LGEO slope definitions to his lugnetcolors.inc file. They are now in the ZIP-file and I also changed the website text. A big thank you to Orion! Jeroen PS I am trying to contact Todd but he doesn't reply. (...) (21 years ago, 17-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Track Designer Registry

(...) Track Designer is written in Visual C++ and probobly makes heavy use of windows GDI and user calls to make it work. However, there are Open Source libraries available that essentially provide these calls and map them to similar calls on a (...) (21 years ago, 17-Aug-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad)

POV-Ray Insert Menu (WAS Re: Version 2.2 of the LDraw radiosity files available)

Jeroen has once again push the envelope of how we (LDraw users) use POV-Ray. I do believe that he is the first person within our community to make use of the Insert Menu in POV-Ray 3.5. Using the insert menu makes it much easier to use his code for (...) (21 years ago, 17-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Track Designer Registry

(...) I'm not sure which you are referring to, Track Designer or Track Draw... As for Track Designer, even with the source, I expect it would be a very hard port to any non Windows platform. I believe it was written in Visual Basic or Visual C++ (I (...) (21 years ago, 17-Aug-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad)
