After looking at many pictures created with POV-Ray, I want to know more about how to use it. Where do I get started, what do I need, how do I install and use it? Is it free to download? Please help! Max (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Train buffers

(...) I only have the single buffers, but from analyzing the dat file of 4022 and comparing with my buffers, the ruond shapes seem identical. I think I've made this part sometime long ago, but for some reason it was never submitted. It is probably (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.trains)

Re: 30104 Chain - Does it exist?

(...) It appears to have been done by Matt Schild (URL) know what's up with the number). (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New parts - Aquanaut Door and Door Frame

(...) Has no one responded to this yet? My understanding is that the spacing is purely to make part names alphabetize properly, so that, for example, Brick 1 x 2 sorts before Brick 1 x 16. I think the last example above is correct, but I'm sure that (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

30104 Chain - Does it exist?

(URL) this part exist officially or unofficially? It seems as though it should be a 2-piece part. 1) End piece 1x2 w/chain loop 2) Chain link Is anyone working on one? If not, I might take a stab at it. It does not look too difficult compared to the (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Engine 68 (4-Wide Fire Apparatus, incl. instructions)

(...) Hi. I seen it on Brickshelf already. Quite a nice vehicle, and congrats on your first attempt at CAD. It looks like you are a seasoned pro already :) Thanks for sharing your model, and I hope you have a chance at winning a prize at the Bricks (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Train buffers

Does anyone have both the single train buffer from the seventies and the double train buffers (4022) ? Are the shapes of the round buffer identical ? Why am I asking this? I have just received a couple of single train buffers and I want to create (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Lego Digital Designer

Doesn't work for me. I see no bricks... :-( Is that heavy 3D graphics card really needed? Shame... Jaco "John Henry Kruer" <jhk@jhkruer.com> schreef in bericht news:HFxHG1.11oC@lugnet.com... (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad)

Not sure where I should post this, so I'm just sorta guessing here as to where to post. Whatever gets me an answer, I suppose. So here goes. Does anyone have a good, strong, and small (emphasize strong)(similar in size to the original) solution to (...)   Engine 68 (4-Wide Fire Apparatus, incl. instructions)

Hello, I was pleased to see this post tonight: (URL) > Because just like Ronald, I've also just taken my first steps into creating CAD models. In my case, very tiny steps. :) I tried something small first, since I was still unsure about the (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.town, FTX)

  First instructions!

Hi all, I'm pretty much a newbie at the whole MLCad/Pov-Ray game. I'm just after uploading my first instructions: (URL) far I've found the use of L3PAO quite tricky. That's probably because I've downloaded PovRay 3.5 and L3P/L3PAO seems to be suited (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Lego Digital Designer

(...) ??? I chose the link to download the .exe, and then installed off-line. Everything works, no connection needed, LXF files are still there after exit (Rename a copy of them to xxx.zip and open in WinZip to get more details). BTW, I'm with you (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Lego Digital Designer

(...) WOW what company made it? Was it Maxis? Looks like simcity 3K very nice wow I found that is possible to build sidewards and downwards is better than LEGO Creator but there very little parts. I love it I hope is going to be free the full (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Idea for an ldraw related program

(...) Ah, yes, the missing documentation. Since ldglite is really just ldlite made portable with some extensions, I've been pretending that you can get by with the ldglite documentation here: (URL) supplementing it with my really poor readme.txt (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Idea for an ldraw related program

(...) Oh you star, that looks pretty much like what I need without hacking the program :-) I got it to produce a png, (I now know how part of your hard disc is layed out :-) ), are there any docs for it, I'd like to try to understand the parameters. (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Lego Digital Designer

(...) I agree with you. I have a dual monitor setup, and full screen software that doesn't offer me a resize option is very frustrating. I think the software with the Droid Developer Kit was like that. Dan. (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Idea for an ldraw related program

(...) You could try something like this. ldglite -l3 -a1,0,0,0,1,0,0,0,1 -s2 -Q -i1 -MS973p65.png 973p65.dat I think that's an example of what what you're looking for, and it comes with source, which should save you some time. Enjoy, Don (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)
