LDDesignPad v1.19b with C++ plugin sample

Hello! Just to let you all know ;) : Thanks to the genious help of Roland Melkert (he translated the complete plugin-code from Delphi to C++: Thank you, thank you, thank you!) I am happy to present the 1.19b version wich includes these new sources. (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: MPD spec

(...) Err, the entry for MPD in the glossary: (URL) here: (URL) is a bad link. Could you update the glossary to point to the new spec? Don (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: MPD spec

(...) MPD Workshop cannot handle a reference to a non-existing directory, or rather, it does not create a folder if necessary. For example: (URL) line: 0 FILE s\41342s01.dat assumes that there already exists the folder 's\' in the target directory, (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: POV Color Cheat?  [DAT]

(...) [ snipped ] Intresting, and yes it will work but with a few buts. First you will need to do the color-declaring before you do your model. And you have to (well, not "have to" but is saver to) "undeclare" (or undef) the old color definition. (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: MPD spec

(...) Good point. Should probably also add the following... - There shouldn't be multiple files with the same name. - paths are allowed, so are explicit drive references. But the capability should be use with restraint, since it can easily make it (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: MPD spec

(...) One addition that might be useful for people using the spec is to explicitly state that other than the first file being the main one, there is no implicit order to the remaining files. This is implied by the existing spec, but not actually (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: MPD spec

Great! One question: I think I've seen some MPD files with the extension .dat and named exactly the same as its main model sub-file. IMHO, it's a risky thing to do. It's very easy to overwrite the main file with if the mpd is named the same. (It (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Monkeypede

  Re: Monkeypede  [DAT]

(...) The problem is with LUGNET's code to return LDraw content (the [DAT] hyperlink). It doesn't recognize the .ldr file extension. If you copy the code out of your message, and save it in a new file, the monkypede renders just fine. I've attached (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: Monkeypede

(...) Grr, still no good. I imported all the submodels into the main file - should I have done otherwise? -Shiri (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: Monkeypede

(...) Open your file in MLCAD. Choose Multipart | Import Model to import each submodel file into your main file. Save the file (maybe under a new name, with a .mpd extension). Upload the new file. Steve (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: MPD spec

(...) I don't know if we ever agreed on it; I don't remember the discussion of it at all. But I included it in the page. (...) Oyez, oyez!   Re: Monkeypede

(...) Dang it, it didn't. Can anyone explain to me how can I upload a .dat file with submodels? -Shiri (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Smoothing on part level using edge lines

(...) This is technically due to bad dat code, not the algorithm. That edge shouldn't contain optional lines. However, given that they used a smashed half-sphere, they had no control over the presense of type 5 lines along that edge. And it's the (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Monkeypede  [DAT]

Hey guys, I present to you my Monkeypede. (A centipede made with left brown monkey arms.) This is my first LDraw model ever! I was very excited about LDraw after being present in Tim's tutorial at Brickfest '02. The model's quite small, but it was (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Syntactical colouring of .DAT files

Hello Jacob, still there is only a version for Win32 yet but I am considering a port to Linux (using Kylix). Do you think that would serve you better? Still it would be using a graphical interface (windowmanager) because i am not so in that (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad)

Fredrik, Thanks for your help. I got it working. Turns out it was a combination of things that I was doing wrong. Dave (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Spiffing

As anyone watching the Brickshelf recent pages will have noticed, I now have multiple pictures available for each of my 20 Spiffcraft variants, accompanied by dat files, and a short text description.
