  Re: Track Designer Registry

(...) Weelll... DO you have the source, in case Matt can't find it? (don't laugh, I lost some source to a project I worked years on... it's not so much LOST as it is on one of several hundred floppies but not sure WHICH one)... (23 years ago, 8-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad)

  Re: Another Bug...

(...) Yes, I did. It was that packeging error-whatever that was. And I've used GS SPlit to split all the files I need. Only problem is that pov-ray is slow on that computer.(of coarse) John Kruer (23 years ago, 8-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: Track Designer Registry

(...) Matt would need a least a week to sort things out, so I wasn't worried at that stage. (...) That is correct, I thought that Matt may have said that he had found it by now, and given it to someone. I didn't expect him to set up a sourceforge (...)   Re: Numbers Report

(...) I think Bernd and Sascha are brothers. Part authors keep LDraw alive. Steve B. has a quite expeditive (if not bureaucratic) response to your legitimate expectings. My advise is: visit the "activity" PT page rather than the "certication" or (...) (23 years ago, 7-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Track Designer Registry

(...) Well, he was waiting.. but now perhaps he's wondering whether the necessary first step is going to happen or not? That step is Matt (or whoever?) finding the code, right, not setting up the SourceForge project. But you still could do that (...) (23 years ago, 7-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad)

  Re: Track Designer Registry

(...) Huh? I could swear that just a few weeks ago you recommended waiting around patiently for something to happen. (URL) decided to take your advice. Perhaps everyone else did too. ;) Don (23 years ago, 7-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad)

  Re: Track Designer Registry

It has been a few weeks now since the subject of track designer updates was brought up, has anything come out of it yet? Has anybody heard anything new from Matt about releasing the source code to individuals, sourceforge or whatever? Martin (23 years ago, 7-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad)

Parts as volumes (instead of surfaces)

It has been said that, with ldraw parts, we have the geometry of TLG bricks. This is rather optimistic. Because geometry would be CSG descriptions that allow much more (although slower) than quads and triangles. CSG descriptions allow part collision (...)   Hidden male connectors (studs)

Hello LCD "community", As female connectors (mainly stud inlets) can effectively hide male connectors (mainly studs), we should ensure that the LCD project do not waste such an opportunity to further speed up LDraw display.   Re: 32087.dat - Train Track Cross

(...) Thanks for the reply, but i'm no parts GOD at all ;-) ,if anyone's interested, the .dat files are posted to the parts tracker. I hope there aren't too many errors in it.
