On the subject of Hi-Res primitives, I have been developing several lately. Should we have a "new" posting group so that they do not get mistakenly downloaded as "16's". (...) JPEG is a lossy compression format. This means that in order to compress the file size, the JPEG compression algorithm averages boxes of pixels, losing some data along the way.
