(...) I use Solidworks to build the parts and then stl2dat to convert them to .dat files Sometimes I use MLCAD to finalise the modelisation. stl2dat is on (URL) Klein A Mindstorms fan. (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad)

Maybe I have something setup incorrectly here, or maybe I'm asking for something that is in the works for v2, but I find it a pain to use my "mouse" (it's a flat pad on a laptop PC and not very easy to use) to move parts in the 3 views so I tend to (...) Go to Settings -> General and on the Rendering tab tick the "Draw to selected part only" box - I think Michael changed the default setting in the newer releases. Dan (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

i'm sure there's a simple solution to this, but i certainly haven't been able to figure it out.. so i figured i'd try and ask here. ;) anyhow, after a recent reformat and reinstall of my os, mlcad hasn't been working quite right.. i have since tried (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
