Re: Planes & Requirements for a generic download-tool

(...) We can always either: a. Enable directory listings for the appropriate directories. b. Supply a parts.dir file, containing the directory listing. BTW, unless something radical changes with the current situation, FTP is the wrong way to go for (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Hey Y'all: Not at all Lego related, but I just thought some of you POV or CAD people might also like some animation action: (URL) you say, "Big Daddy Roth..."? -- Richard (sitting here giggling as he replays it, and replays it, and replays it...)   Re: Planes & Requirements for a generic download-tool

Yes I know, with Win32 it's easy no matter if it's http or ftp, but is it also under Unix? I would like to keep the source as portable as possible. In general it doesn't depend on the protocol, but getting directory listings from ftp servers is (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Part Command (1)

Ok unless my new parsing-routine is ready I will replace the spaces by underlines as a work-arround since I found out the real problem is the space in the file-name.   Re: Planes & Requirements for a generic download-tool

(...) There's a zip library at ftp.cdrom.com that is capable of extracting files (doh !) and has an example for creating a win32 program. I forgot the name but it should be very easy to find. (...) If you're going to do a win32 program then you can (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Can LDAO do this? (was: anyone interested in rendering for me?)

(...) Yes, this should be perfectly appropriate. Perl would be a good tool to do this. Of course, it makes more sense to do this conversion in L3P to start with... If we can persuade Lars to do it! On the other hand, I don't like using POV-Ray to (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Great to see someone is in sink with me ! I have been planning this for a while too ! (...) I was thinking more on the line of an update for the Oficial DATs, but this can be easilly extended if a config file for each program/library can be (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Part Command (1)

(...) I personally am agaist this ! DAT/MPD files SHOULD be Compatible (NOT MUST BE), because people may have no desire to keep it's compatibility, it's a choice up to the user. This offcourse is only related with peoples models, NOT oficial parts, (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
