Here's a small fighter/two person shuttle that docks and loads from the front. Imagine a capital ship with rows upon rows (maybe even stacked?) of docking ports with sliding doors (like I posted to .ideas[1]), each with a ship like this attached to (...) (...) For viewing the model as a whole I'd recommend l3lab (it's fast and it works), and of course for everything else ML-CAD (assuming you have a windows machine).
