What is the official view of lego on the ldraw rendering program and parts library? Does TLG have anything to say about the library? Is there anything that TLG would like us not to make and put into the library (e.g. some of the "star wars (...) (25 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) LDraw code? With a circular shape having 16 segments, not eight as in your diagrams. If you think that is simpler for the parts authors (or that it requires a "tiny extra effort") as compared to superimposing a quad and a disc (two lines of (...) (25 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Hi, I've been working a bit with flexible hoses lately, and I've noticed an odd thing about the parts which make up the bent version of the 8.5L flexible hose. The part 754.dat (URL) used as a hose segment, about 50 of them go into a single hose. (...) (25 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) <SNIP> Thanks, this helps a lot, but now there is one problem left: MLCad first creates the dat file to be converted, than calls L3P to convert it into pov and than it executes pov-ray with the above statement. If you do that for multiple (...) (25 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) L3P is a command-line DOS program, so you have to run it from MS-DOS Prompt. However, L3PAO is a Windows program, so you won't need to type any command lines for it. (...) Not that I know of, but it shouldn't be too difficult to set up L3PAO (...) (25 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad)
