Felix, Thank you so much for sharing that background to that MOC.

During the frantic pace of an event such as BrickFest, I find that often I just never have the chance to make the comments to the builders that I wish I would have had the time for. This gives me a chance to do just that.

Firstly, I must admit, I was “caught” on camera, picking up that very MOC for a closer look. I am fairly sure during the whole event it was the only MOC that I could not resist touching (aside from those I had to, such as my own or those placed in the micro display).

Secondly, I know exactly why. There is something compelling about it, something that drew me, as the viewer in, something that captivated. Now knowing the story behind it, makes the powerful pull a bit more tangible.

It is my opinion, that no one is “qualified” no matter how much they think they are, to call something art for the masses. Meaning, to “qualify” something as art it must be a personal decision. For me, that is exactly what that piece is. Art. In my jaded world and deep within my own moral fibre there can be no higher complement.

Congratulations on the continued interest and growth and enlightenment from such a well executed work.
