Felix,
I have always thought that this sculpture really captures a very significant
personal experience in a very simple, clear and visually pleasing way, and I
have also always thought that it was under-appreciated, and that it should have
won awards at Brickfest last year. It isn’t about technique, it’s about personal
expression, and that’s something rarely seen in a MOC. Thanks for posting about
it. If you are going to be selling it, can I place an order? -Cyndi

The sculpture itself was never intended to make waves. I’ll not attempt to
say that anything I create is particularly earth-shaking. But in simplicity,
simple concepts can be communicated; concepts like
change,
inward reflection,
and unconditional
love. So, hopefully, this has been a mildly interesting story for you to
read. But, also, take it as a thank you for all of the inspiration,
encouragement, and friendship I have received from many of you that has
fueled my intention to move forward in building and in other ways.

| (...) Cyndi, I remember having the same feeling--and as the one who counted the votes, I can tell you exactly what happened; Felix had too many creations in the sculpture room! He had a number of different pieces garner votes (I voted for (URL) this (...) (20 years ago, 22-May-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Emerge has actually had a very good response- I think its just that Brickfest, Brickshelf, and our other forms of sharing having a different center of attention. There have been a few occasions where people (...) (20 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)
