(...) That's great! It looks wonderful having two of them. Brilliant idea! --Bill. (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general)

  Re: A Wedding Sculpture

Is it any wonder where we got the shape for the modern valentine heart? (URL) I created an identical Swan using all the left over white bricks I had. It wasn't a pretty build, let me tell you. The second swan (left) is nearly all 1xXs, and most of (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: A Wedding Sculpture

(...) Thanks much! It also helps that I don't own that many white plates or slopes :) (...) I think the greenery will have to be silk. I'm afraid that all, and I do mean all, of my green is tied up at the moment in my village. (URL) a good idea (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general)

  Re: A Wedding Sculpture

Very nice. While I personally would have used plates/slopes in such an endeavor, I will say that using strictly bricks still looks VERY nice, I certainly can't fault the final product. I was in my Dark Ages during my wedding, and it was an EXTREMELY (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general)

(...) Thanks Lar! Most of the doubters are on Christina's side of the family, or aren't coming (or both). Pity, though. My parents were converts to the whole LEGO idea when I built the black dragon, but then again my parents have always been pretty (...)   Re: A Wedding Sculpture

(...) As you should be, it will look GREAT as a centerpiece! And it should spark lots of discussion among the guests and help build acceptance of you among the doubters (every family has some) (...) Hey, I like it a lot. I agree with your choice to (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general, FTX)

  A Wedding Sculpture

Here's a MOC I made to attend the reception at my wedding at the end of the month. Christina and I are both rather pleased with it. Inspiration came from Mookie, who was telling me about a swan sculpture she was building that she found online. That (...)   Re: MOC: Statue of Liberty Pedestal for set 3450

(...) Thanks for the comments! I seriously considered building the star. I would have "cheated" a little, and basically made it a big square, with seven pointed triangles coming off the sides (2 on each side, but only one big one on the front). (...)   Re: MOC: Statue of Liberty Pedestal for set 3450

The Statue of Liberty's pedastal was built in the middle of 11-pointed star-shaped Fort Wood on Bedloe's Island. My ASCII art of the fort's shape: / \ / \ / _ / / / \ / / \ / / \ / \ / / That's definitely not to scale, but it shows how to make an (...)   Re: MOC: Statue of Liberty Pedestal for set 3450

(...) Whoops...looks like it's nine-pointed. This makes it even harder, I'd imagine. not that seven-pointed is a walk in the park --Dave (20 years ago, 29-Jun-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: MOC: Statue of Liberty Pedestal for set 3450

(...) Awesome...looks really great. Makes me wonder now if anyone's got the brass to attempt the 7-pointed star dais the pedestal sits on. Eeep! Pucture here: (URL) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Finding Nemo

(...) very cool. If you get into an extreme pinch, you can make a passable orange 1x1 plate by taking a 1x1 plate with clip-lite and very carefully cutting off the clip with an xacto knife. orange 1x1's with clip-lite were in fair abundance thanks (...) (...) Hi, He's great! Your decision to build his face "studs forward" was an excellent idea. On the dorsal fin - try just a vertical line of 2x1 bricks until you get close to the top. Nature does have some straight lines after all. Mark (20 years ago, 29-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Bryan, I've admired your Nemo the couple times he's popped up on Brickshelf. Very nice. My kids would love to build him. Any chance of instructions? :) Corey www.brickitgood.com (20 years ago, 28-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Hi all, Here's something I built for a local event at a school with an undersea theme (click on picture for gallery): (URL) It's gotta be the most difficult thing I've EVER tried to build.   Re: Statue of Liberty Pedestal for set 3450

Hi Mark, I'm 'collecting' tan also for catle structures. I think it's an adequate choice for the red-sand like bricks they used in many (European?) castles anyway. About my Seven Wonders Project: I tend to go for Artemis or the Mausoleum. For both I (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jun-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: Statue of Liberty Pedestal for set 3450

Thanks Daan. With the color change of grey (and the fact that white fades quickly - my Union Station is already showing aging, although I think it improves the look), I think tan will probably take a higher place in my color choices for town (...)
