  Re: large MOC: camel w/rider

(...) There's a kind of trestle bridge inside the torso. It's not large but serves the (probably) crucial purpose of distributing the weight onto the legs. Then the legs each contain a long Technic beam attached to the trestle and pointing downward (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: large MOC: camel w/rider

(...) Thanks! The textiles were definitely challenging-- I just meant they aren't closely based on "authentic" models. The trickiest part of the rider was doing the trim on the dress with only two 1x2 orange grilles and a bunch of 1x4 orange plates. (...)   My first MOC to go public: Butters from South Park

Hello world! After five weeks of MLCad planning, building, tweaking and such, I'm proud to unveil my first MOC to go public after getting back into LEGO just 6 months ago... 3D sculpture of Butters from South Park! Who's Butters, you ask? He is the (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture) !

(...) Judy- That is absolutely beautiful! The legs look perfect, and I'm sure they're sturdy as well--the intricacy of the patterns is really excellent set against the constantcy of the camel's tone. Any indication of how extensive the armature is? (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Photoshop Plugin: Flexify

(...) I did some looking up of my own and found this. (URL) I recently had one of those "dud stupid" self realizations concering a creation I've been working on that could use this but with a hitch- it's not exactly a sphere I need but what's termed (...)   Re: large MOC: camel w/rider

(...) You mean the lady on top was not as challenging as the camel? She is just amazing all covered in tiny plates. (Having seen some of your other sculptures I recall you are pretty good at that.) The back of her head is incredible the way the (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.build.ancient)

Judy, Just saw this on Brickshelf. Beautiful! I especially like the camel's head and the blanket. I think this is my favorite of your creations except maybe the phoenix. Bruce (21 years ago, 4-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

(...) Wow, that's really beautiful. Your use of slopes to soften the edges and blockiness of the bricks is really well done. Adrian (21 years ago, 4-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
