I did some looking up of my own and found this.

I recently had one of those “dud stupid” self realizations concering a creation
I’ve been working on that could use this but with a hitch- it’s not exactly a
sphere I need but what’s termed as an oblate spheroid.

Where in plan view or north elevation view you would see a circle but from a
west elevation you see an ellipse. It would be rather tricky to pull off.
