| | Odd brick SNOT
|
| I just discovered a simple technique today for doing odd brick width SNOT, thus getting around the 2 in the 5:2 rule. I couldn't think of having seen it before so maybe it is new (although it seems unlikely). Anyway, I thought I'd share it since I (...) | (...) Have you actually tried this out? From the back, I see you have 1x2/1x4 brackets plugged into the back of washing machine bricks. I think the 2nd studs on the brackets will collide with the studs on the top of the washing machine bricks (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.schleim)

| (...) Hi Frank, I hadn't tested it but just did and it works fine. I've never had any trouble sticking plates into the back of headlight bricks before either. It is probably because the top of studs is slightly angled thus removing collisions. I'm (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.schleim)

I've used the ends of these brackets before in a similar way to do tight lettering on a Caledonian Railway 4MT (2-6-4 steam engine), but I've never been able to work out what to do with the 1x2 part when using the whole (...) If Erik Amzallag hadn't posted his fence-based window technique I could never have come up with the two segment (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

It's noticeably true when talking about SNOT parts. I'm (...) (19 years ago, 24-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.schleim)
