  Re: New LEGO hairstyle piece

Wow, I guess I'm in the minority. I really like most of the new products coming out for 2000 (well, except that g.d. technic stormtrooper). As for the new hair, I thought it was pretty cool - it immediately reminded me of a "Juicer" look, from the (...) (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Timmy has competition

Yesterday my girlfriend called me at work and the first thing she said was "We *have* to get that figure! He's the best ever!" (I hadn't even seen him yet because I had spent my day studying the Star Wars sets instead. (I cannot explain how she (...) (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Timmy has competition

(...) He looks to me like he's wearing a "classic" anime expression. You know, the kind the hero's sidekick wears right after he says something stupid and is trying to recover the conversation. In fact, several of the Alpha Team seem to be Anime (...) (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) evil. (...) You are totally wrong!!! IMHO, he looks happy, mind you it is an insane kinda happy. I think LEGO needs to design a new white torso with arms that attach in the back with long straps. :-D The important thing is as soon as I get one (...)   Re: Timmy has competition

(...) My son Ian built the yellow submarine from "Yellow Submarine" (seen in some of the pix from PNLTC's G2K show). We're working on mini-fig Be-a-tles. Of course, for Paul "the cute one" McCartney; we're using the Timmy head. - Gary Gerdes (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Timmy has competition

(...) I think the rest of the crew looks *really* ticked off they are forced to work with this goofball. Except for the red haired chick, she looks like she is sending physic messages to the dude with the dynamite. "You will ask me out for Saturday (...) (...) Pshaw. I can think of at least one use where the new minifig head will be PERFECT: As kamikaze in BrikWars campaigns. Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Timmy has competition

(...) Definitely looks like he got a big dose of Smilex. I don't know what LEGO is thinking with the new style on the 'figs. These things (the faces from Racers, the Construction set from 2000, and especially Alpha Team) are just stoopid. Steve (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Timmy has competition

In my humble opinion Timmy is going to get some serious competition for the most annoying looking mini fig. I was looking at the Alpha Team part of the new brochure and saw, among a number of perfectly well adjusted LEGO minifigs, the fig with a (...) (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Minifig head

Paul, Great site! It provides a wonderful service for people that consider mini-figs as a factor in which sets they buy. I've had one situation where a clear view of a fig's face could have really helped me, and your site has already informed me of (...) (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Guess I'm gonna have to start signing my posts with a different name. I have red hair and a buzz cut. This hairpiece will work for my mini-me. ~Muffin Head (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Minifig head

Hey Paul, I love your site! That's a great idea; if you keep it going, I'll be checking back very often.   Re: Minifig head

The scans there now are all from my own collection, but I suppose that there's no need for ME to actually have the figs in order to do this. What I've done is to build a little "photo booth" out of white bricks, to help ensure sufficient lighting (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)
