Wow, I guess I'm in the minority. I really like most of the new products
coming out for 2000 (well, except that g.d. technic stormtrooper). As for
the new hair, I thought it was pretty cool - it immediately reminded me of
a "Juicer" look, from the RIFTS RPG. Basically, a juicer was a street
punk who underwent backstreet surgery to have a high-tech
drug-delivery-system implanted throughout his body - including a drug
inject collar, anklets, and bracelets, and subdermal tubing. The system
constantly monitors the recipient's body, and continuously injects the
appropriate cocktail of steroids, adrenaline, endorphins, etc at all time
to keep them hyped up. They needed minimal sleep, had exceptional
strength and muscle development, uncanny reflexes and agility - basically
they were great combatants. The major drawback? The recipient's heart
would typically explode in 4-6 years due to the continuous stress and
strain. Even after having the system for only 2 years or so, the life
expectancy was severely reduced, and removal of the system typically left
the ex-recipient chronically depressed and lethargic.
ANYWAY, the artwork of Juicers usually depicted them as having an earring,
cropped spiked hair sticking straight up, and a "I take myself seriously"
expression, often accented with goggles or sunglasses. Yeah, I think I'll
be liking the new hair ....

Mark S. certainly likes the new hair as well, and I don't mind it (my first thought after seeing it was "Hey, if they mold it in blond then I can make Guile from (...) (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

| It does look like a Juicer, cool!
