Thanks for your comments Magnus.  You are absoultely right about the A-4 and
the F-4.  Both are good looking aircraft and both are models that I have
planned out to a pretty good extent.  I really do want to do some aircraft
of that era though.  However, for me to do them the way that I want, I
really need some pieces that are as yet unavailable in LDRAW .dat file
format.  For the Skyhawk I plan on using the new 2002 canopy found on the
Jedi Starfighter set (indeed, this would also make an ideal canopy for
single seated Harriers and a Hind gunship), while the Phantom demands 2x4
wedge plates.  In fact, no less than 20 models that I have planned would
require such a piece to a greater or lesser extent.

I do like your suggestions for the European ground pounders, and the
Lightning really is one of the most unique shapes in the aerospace world.  I
would also like to return to rotary wing designs, but others seem to be
representing this type very well (I seem to remember a Hokum, a Hind and a
Sea Cobra all fairly recently).  The B-52 and C-130 are both a bit out of my
scale, but once I get some experience with aircraft of that size, I'll give
those a try.  I think that the Jag is the best bet, so look for that one in
there near future.

I will post a more comprehensive look in a day or two once I get some ordnance worked (...) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Bryce, awesome stuff, I didn't realise you had added so many recently! I used to build a fair ammount of warplanes, although they usually weren't modelled n specific real life ones, and know how hard it can be to get them just right. I am quite (...)
