Small update on my Military Aircraft MOCs

Hey everybody, I've posted a small update to my modern military aircraft MOC collection. It can be seen in total here: (URL) previously unseen models include the J-8 Chinese Inteceptor (most famous for being the chinese type involved with the (...)   Not to reply to my own message or anything but...

...while I was waiting for the message authentication e-mail for my previous post, I opend MLCAD and before you know it I was smacked upside the head by the LEGO muse. Therefore my recently completed Mirage 2000 MOC is not included in the update (...) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Small update on my Military Aircraft MOCs

Bryce, awesome stuff, I didn't realise you had added so many recently! I used to build a fair ammount of warplanes, although they usually weren't modelled n specific real life ones, and know how hard it can be to get them just right. I am quite (...)   Re: Small update on my Military Aircraft MOCs

Thanks for your comments Magnus. You are absoultely right about the A-4 and the F-4. Both are good looking aircraft and both are models that I have planned out to a pretty good extent. I really do want to do some aircraft of that era though. (...) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Small update on my Military Aircraft MOCs

(...) These are all absolutely stunning MOCS! I don't know much about jets, but the images fit what I know the real thing to be. I've seen Top Gun (a few times ;) ) and your F14 is dead on. This one is a little obscure, but I would love to see the (...) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Small update on my Military Aircraft MOCs

Hey Dave, thanks for your comments. The F-14 is my single favorite airplane and I spent more time and effort on that MOC than on any other, so I'm glad that it shows. I can honestly say that your suggestion of the Avro Arrow is truly unique. I'm (...) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Small update on my Military Aircraft MOCs

I have just completed an ABS-version of Bryce F-14. Bryce kindly provided me with the dat-file. Pictures of this impressive model are in my non-digital camera and will hopefully be on brickshelf by the end of next week. Bryce F-14 is really a (...) Woa, those are bloody cool. What's it gonna take to get real life pics, or at least POV-Ray renders??? (I can't wait!) (...) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Avro Arrow

Hey David, thanks for the link. It might be a while till I get around to it but I think that a Lego Avro Arrow is a distinct possibility. If I'm able to get my hands on a three way view of the Arrow, I can really start doing some serious planning. (...) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Concerning Renders and ABS

(...) Well Kyle, I have messed around with POVray and been able to get some basic renders of some of my MOCs, but overall I'm not pleased with the quality of my rendering skills. However, I have been in concact with Anton Raves (go to (...) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

A teaser picture of the Sepecat Jaguar...

...can now be seen in the teaser section of my brickshelf folder. I didn't plan on having it up so quickly, but it seems that I'm having a bit of a creative surge. I will post a more comprehensive look in a day or two once I get some ordnance worked (...) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Small update on my Military Aircraft MOCs

Thanks again Mattias. It really was my pleasure to provide you with the .dat files as that seems to be the only way for me to be able to see some of my designs in actual ABS. I'm really looking foreward to seeing how you solved some of the inherent (...) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Small update on my Military Aircraft MOCs

(...) I love to see your work and have a request: an X-29 forward-swept plane. I have always loved it's look and would like to see your take on it. Joe Meno (22 years ago, 10-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Small update on my Military Aircraft MOCs

(...) You're absolutely right Joe, the X-29 would translate excellently into Lego. The lines on it are very clean and most of the angles can be easily done with the pieces available. Just about the only thing that worrys me is getting the proper (...) (22 years ago, 10-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Some great new teasers, I'm looking forward to seeing more! Magnus (22 years ago, 10-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

I have posted some renders of some of my MOCS...

...in my brickshelf folder. They can be seen here: (URL) you could use the handy link on the sidebar to get to my folder. Some comments on the renders. I have posted the pictures in a lower quality jpeg format to make the file size smaller and (...) (22 years ago, 11-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Small update on my Military Aircraft MOCs

(...) Just spotted the files on Brickshelf....wow! Beautiful work done by both of you! The details really make the models! Joe Meno (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Small update on my Military Aircraft MOCs

Hi Bryce, You probably get asked this all the time. I would love to try building one of your models, like the F-18G or the F-15E. I read on this thread that you gave the .dat for your F16 to Mattias Martensson (lucky dog) , so I was wondering what I (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Actually Mark...

(...) ...You're only about the 4th or 5th person to ask me for the .dats. I don't have a website so I can't post them there, so I usually just sent them out to interested parties via e-mail. I'll see what I can do about getting you those 2 you (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Very nice models Mattias

I really like the pics that you posted Mattias. That color scheme looks so much better in real life than it does in MLCAD or renders. I also love the alterations/improvements that you've done - the engine nozzles fit perfectly and I love how you (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Very nice models Mattias

Thanks Bryce More pictures are coming up during the weekend. I simply had to modify the engine nozzles since I don't have the parts you used. The parts I used are from the 7191 UCS X-Wing. There is a dark lightsabre inside to keep it together (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.build.military)
