New MOC: "Loiterer" Anti-Tank/Mecha Helicopter" —Mladen Pejic
(URL) by: Russian Hind D helicopters seen in Patlabor 2 NOTAR helicopters AH-1 Cobra (sorta...) The "Loiterer" utilizes [1] NOTAR technology, therefore it needs no tail rotor. Also, it DOES have retractable landing gear. Just wanted to get those two (...) (23 years ago, 2-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: "Loiterer" Anti-Tank/Mecha Helicopter" —Rick Hallman
Very nice Mladen! Nice to see some other types of aerospace out here in .space! I like how you used a 1x2 panel (trans) for a pseudo-HUD. The Landing gear are real neat too. I juist love the weapons all over it! Rick (23 years ago, 2-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: New MOC: "Loiterer" Anti-Tank/Mecha Helicopter" —Geordan Hankinson
woah, awesome! There's so much detail everywhere, well could I really expect anything 'non-detailed' from you? No way. :-D It has a really cool shape to it, sorta reminds me of a soaring eagle, or a hawk, and then at the last moment it dives at it's (...)         Re: New MOC: "Loiterer" Anti-Tank/Mecha Helicopter" —Kirby Warden
I don't reply very often to people's MOCs these days because I find it difficult to say something different everytime I like something and I really hate telling people I don't like their work. But in this case, I've got somthing to say. I like this. (...) (23 years ago, 3-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: New MOC: "Loiterer" Anti-Tank/Mecha Helicopter" —Duane Hess
(...) I really like the landing gear. Nice and simple. Do you have a problem with them not holding up the weight very well? If not, I'll have to borrow the design for future reference... (...) -Duane (23 years ago, 3-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) rotor. (...) Thanks Duane! Yes, the landing works well, IF you have some sort of "stopping" point for it. The front pair of legs rest on an inverted wedge, while the others just sorta stay in the back. The whole helicopter balances nicely, so (...) (23 years ago, 3-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: New MOC: "Loiterer" Anti-Tank/Mecha Helicopter" —Magnus Lauglo
Nice! Lots of great detail. I don't think the canopy looks out of place at all, but if you replaced the blue canopy with a clear transparent one (if you have one) I think it would work a lot better with the colour scheme. I really like the cannons (...) (23 years ago, 3-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Beautifully done! I guess my only suggestion is to lengthen the blades on the rotor. Very cool looking and a very interesting form. Love those tail fins monted on the wings.
