Re: Brictoria Barracks is up and running

(...) Unfortunately, not long after I took the images on the site, the main Barracks building went into renovations...Good news is that the facade is still the same...bad news is that the floors and roof are under construction (LOTS of black 1xX and (...)   Re: B.I. Joe: S.H.A.R.C. Flying Submarine

Very cool indeed! I used to be very into G/I/Joe and probably have a small fortune's worth in my collection. I'd love to see you have a go at some of my old favorites, the Cobra BUGG and Maggot, and the G.I.Joe Mean Dog, Tomahawk and MBT Mauler. (...)   Re: B.I. Joe: S.H.A.R.C. Flying Submarine

(...) OK, I have a comment on the model, a comment on your comment, and a comment on the website =) The comment on the model: Awesome. You really managed to capture the look of the original SHARC, to an amazing degree. In some ways I like it better (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: B.I. Joe: S.H.A.R.C. Flying Submarine

(...) I personally think it a great idea. I also completely agree with turning the S.H.A.R.C. from a submarine to a spaceship as its aesthetics are more aligned to a shuttle craft of some sort. And Kudos to you to making the whole darn thing out of (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  B.I. Joe: S.H.A.R.C. Flying Submarine

Greetings! Okay...finally we have a Joe model that is actually more space than military! That adorable, impossible craft from youth, the S.H.A.R.C. : (URL) Let us know what you think! Cheers, -The BIJoe team PS. The page is a test alpha for a site (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX) !

  Masa(?) creations

Hi all, Just surfing around the Legoverse (Legosphere?) and I found this Japanese language site, perhaps by Masa, with this great microscale destroyer: (URL) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.microscale)

I decided to tackle Bryce's A-7. The following are progress pictures: Early Round (URL) Round (URL) Pending To anyone who's seen Bryce's DAT files and wondered about the final build. Try one. Nice scale and sturdy. (20 years ago, 24-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.military)

A new gallery by "sartechi" has popped up on brickshelf with some great LDRAW renders of a CH-113 Labrador Search-and-Rescue helicopter (aka the CH46 Sea Knight). (URL) nice job! (20 years ago, 17-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Japanese Zeros attack Brickshelf!

Two great versions of the WWII Japanese warplane posted on brickshelf on the same day--hurray! I've been wanting to build one of these to dogfight with my P-61--now I have two great inspirations. Check these out: Zhod's version is based on Mattias (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

Re: Brictoria Barracks is up and running

(...) I'm looking forward to seeing the MK2 etc. (...) I definitely wouldn't want to deface or use stickers with my minifigs either. I don't disagree with others making their own sticker designs etc and I have seen some great designs and some great (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Brictoria Barracks is up and running

(...) Thanks. I'm currently working on a Mk. 2 version of the 25lb field gun, with the gun having a mounting that looks closer to what the WW2 ones had. I am also trying to get the traversal wheel to retract for transport. At present the wheel gets (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Convair XFY-1 "Pogo"

(...) Joey, This is cool, there are so many strange planes out there that were only made in ones and twos, it's nice to see them made in Lego. Thanks, George (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Brictoria Barracks is up and running

Hi Benjamin I like the barracks building and the 25lb Field gun. Your models could be really improved with better pictures if you have that possibility. It takes some real creativity to create 'modern' armies that don't look like Johnny Thunder (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Convair XFY-1 "Pogo"

Hi Joey I was waiting for you to post something about your latest MOC. Otherwise I would have had to highlight it again! ;) It is brilliant!   Convair XFY-1 "Pogo"

Chris Paton's terrific Prototype Hunters series inspired me to build my own historic aviation one-off--the 1950's Convair XFY-1 "Pogo" plane. This unique craft was the first VTOL aircraft to successfully fly in the history of aviation. Powered by (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Brictoria Barracks is up and running

G'day all, I've finally got some piccies together, and thought I'd try and get some input from other Lugnet-ers about what I've built (It's not all that much), and any ideas that could be used to improve the models. Although there's not too many (...) (20 years ago, 31-May-04, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Focke-Wulf Fw-61

(...) Looks awesome, as all your MOC's One tip: the original rotor blades seem to be longer. Perhaps a Technic 3-blade rotor with some 1*8 tiles would do the trick. Other than that again you managed to capture the feel of the real machine judging by (...) (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military)
