I like the barracks building and the 25lb Field gun. Your models could be really improved with better pictures if you have that possibility.

Thanks. I’m currently working on a Mk. 2 version of the 25lb field gun, with the gun having a mounting that looks closer to what the WW2 ones had. I am also trying to get the traversal wheel to retract for transport. At present the wheel gets removed and placed upside down on top of the carriage. (Then I need to build the ammo trailer and Quad (and that will be a real bugger, with all those anoying slopes :( ))

It takes some real creativity to create ‘modern’ armies that don’t look like Johnny Thunder clones - I have this problem too. But I think you could dig a little deeper in your brick box and perhaps find something a little different. A more original army minifig, in keeping with the theme, would be a real plus for your website. Post it when you’ve got it - I could use some inspiration!

Well...I’m working with this mini-fig as he is fairly close (and as close as I can get without stickers/painting/defacing mini-figs) to a WW2 Australian digger. I have also made use of another adventurers minifig for the Armored Corps, and these piccies should pop up soon. The special forces uses a “new” minifig or two, but in general I think the LEGO released ones seem to do the job.

I can understand you wanting to see a more modern soldier, but I’m working as an Aussie to create an Aussie feeling army...But at least slouch hats are fairly common :) (I’d hate to be trying to do a U.S. soldier (use a cowboy hat?) and British (The top-hat just doesn’t look right on the field of combat.))

Oh, and better pictures. :)

On the way:)
