the profile of the Flea, the gatling cannons & light array on the Scorp. I
thought the Hyrdra's back half was outstanding, the tilting weapons system
was spot-on, but the cab and tires were a little uninspired. They maybe
need fenders, or to be swtiched out for tracks or something. Maybe put the
cab on one side instead of centered. My clear favorite of the vehicles was
the Overseer... the engine array was well done. My big complaint about all
your vehicles is that they succumb to a tragic and all to common (imho)
flaw. Sure, you make these impressive, well thought out and designed, big
armored death-machines, and then encase the precious and fragile operator in
a bubble of glass. I know, its probably an uber-material like transparent
steel or something, but for me it kills the aesthetic, and those kinds of
claims are very convenient. Again, imho. Cool vehicles, but I think
everyone knows where to shoot to take them out. Also, this criticism doesnt
apply to the Overseer as much as the others.
yeah, I was never totally happy with the cabs on the hydra, nor the overall
design of the overseer, but it seemed to me that they didn't really need
heavy armor and plating covering most of the windscreen, since neither one
was designed to be a frontline unit. I don't believe in uber materials,
though :). honestly, out of all of the units I've created, I've yet to top
the Scorpion in terms of design for a land vehicle, IMO.

it's one tower of a defensive perimeter around the island of Kelvinisgrad
(from the nationstates online game. it's my nation). there will be a number
of these towers placed around the island, off the coasts of the major
cities, to deter hostile forces from approaching my country. what you see
there is just the part that sticks above the waves. subsurface there is a
torpedo room, bunks for 16 soldiers, a (very limited) medical suite, a
galley, a few huge ammo magazines... sort of what you'd find on a submarine.
each tower has a crew of 15, working in 8 hour 5 man shifts. it's almost an
oceanic maginot (sp?) line... but now I need to make a map of the island to
show where these towers are...

Yes, you definitely need a map and I'd love to see it - would the towers be linked in some way with undersea access tunnels or something - to make it a (...) Partly because I've always thought that the Principality of Sealand was a rather ambitious and creative idea based on a British line of defenses from WWII. (URL) your idea is more akin to the (...)
