I just completed my D-44 Landing Barge model, you can see it here: (URL) wanted to build a really large craft capable of transporting two APCs. I used Technic half pins and plates to form the sides. It's a really strong structure, and also easy on (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.announce.moc) !

(...) I still have issues with those canopies myself: they're basically useless on a horizontal mounting, unless they're mounted with the taper forward as on the JSF. And as you've seen, articulating the cockpits at an angle sucks up hull space; in (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

This is Jesse again and I saw one of your latest creations in the newest LEGO catalog and I knew that your blacksmith shop was going to make it. I did not know how well that it complemented the Guarded Inn but does it ever fit in like a glove! Your (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) Thanks Geordan. My plans for a LEGO Hind started the second that I saw that canopy piece and were cemented when I saw the Republic Gunship kit. The chunkyness in the tail is directly related to the front section design. To get the cockpit (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

You beat me to it! ;-) Looks great Bryce! The JSF cockpit piece is perfectly suited to the Hind IMHO, I really like the front half of the model, although the tail seems too chunky to me, I like the missile tubes under the wings, very clever idea (...) (...) This is one of the biggest hurdles that I will run into if I ever try to convert my MLCAD designs. The beauty of using MLCAD is that any number of parts are available to me in any number of colors, while in real life, some parts just don't (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) Thanks Bryce for your kind words and of course for the dat-file of the A-4. Making a ABS version the three-colour IAF variant is not as easy as I first thought. For the moment there are no triangular plates of any kind available in tan, and no (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Thanks for the comments Mark. Its always gratifying to hear from someone, especially another LEGO aircraft builder. It is a long term goal of mine to build all of my designs out of actual bricks but until I some variables fall into place (money, (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) Thanks Bruce but I really can't take all of the credit. Mattias did have to do some structural reinforcement of my designs and the ejection seat design that you enjoyed is purely his design - I use a similar but standardized seat for all my (...)
