Fieseler Storch airplane MOC by Klaus 'eastpole' Dobisch

Hi all! At 1000steine.de there is just uploaded a new gallery: Klaus has built a cool Fieseler Storch observation airplane in WWII Africa Corps colours. Check it out under: (URL) have seen it in real live two days ago and it looked even better as (...) (22 years ago, 24-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  New Battle Carrier: HMS Venerable

Greetings all, After venturing into LFB's style of SNOT building with my wet navy Pre-Dreadnought, I decided to try out the hull building techniques on a Space Battle Carrier. The result is HMS Venerable: (URL) I'm pretty pleased with the ship. It (...) (22 years ago, 24-Apr-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military)

Re: New MOC: SDKFZ 251 Halftrack plus other posted

New MOC: SDKFZ 251 Halftrack plus other posted

I got a wild hair to build a new halftrack to replace the innacurate one I am currently selling as a kit. Keeping with the spirit of my original model, I built a Panzergrenadier manned vehicle based on the famous SdKfz 251 ("Saving Private Ryan," (...)   Re: New BattleSpace MOC - Cyclone Anti Troop Tank

(...) Thanks, Jeff. Thanks for pointing that out, I never would have noticed! It shows how much *more* thought is required for a model :D Zac (22 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: New BattleSpace MOC - Cyclone Anti Troop Tank

(...) Very cool! It reminds me of a futuristic Sherman. Great detail. One nitpick: it looks like the headlights protrude past the front of the tracks and would break if it hit a sharp incline. Jeff J (22 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Pain Made Tangible

Yes, a moment of peace. Now it's my turn to dismantle the Mantis! When I get back from School I work nights for a week. Then some group shots of the dying Mantis. So, after that let's have a meeting and take the Mantis apart! Calling the Gardenslug (...) (22 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.org.us.gardenslug)

  Updates to SOV Photos!

I'm pleased to announce the completion of my Brickshelf uploads from this weekend's SOV photo shoot: (URL) sections are significantly expanded, and I've created two new folders: a Technical folder containing the first of quite a few more images (...)   Re: New MOC: Mi-24 Hind-D SOV (Special Operations Variant)

Lindsay, The rotor blades were simple enough to build, actually: as I mentioned before, they're based on ten black plate-hinges from my old 8839 Technic Supply Ship. Essentially I folded five hinges into a near-closed shape like a V, arranged them (...) (22 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) Howdy! (...) Yamato? Great Eastern/Western? A type XXIII U-boat? ;-) Space is good for architects, true LEGOists deny it. Have fun building again! Pedro (22 years ago, 8-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Pain Made Tangible

Hats *off*. A moment of silence for the old girl, she was the best ever built... And my compliments, LFB, well done with the disassembly. When I took apart Atlas two weeks ago I was a bit more... shall we say brutal? Me, the *real* Atlas (a (...) (22 years ago, 8-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: New MOC: Mi-24 Hind-D SOV (Special Operations Variant)

(...) An incredible MOC, an incredible backstory. I like them both! A handful of questions: -How did you get the fifth blade on the rotor? -Is that a customized tile on the front of the rocket pod? -The canopies: Have you thought about placing (...)   Re: Heavy Missile Truck

(...) Excellent truck, Jeff! My friend just forwarded the link to me -- I sadly hadn't seen it sooner. I've been trying to think of how to make a pop-up missile pod for a SAM-site, could you give me any pointers on how you made yours? -- Mark Nelson (...)   Re: New MOC: Mi-24 Hind-D SOV (Special Operations Variant)

Magnus, You've certainly got a point about the main rotor...I'd originally fitted a four-blade model to my Hind too, back before I started going over the aircraft again for realism. It was a close call for me too, but after long consideration I took (...) (22 years ago, 8-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Perhaps a moment of silence, followed by Taps, is in order? I'd suggest a 21-gun salute, but it looks as if that's what did her in to begin with ;) -s (...) (22 years ago, 8-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Pain Made Tangible

Hi! Great googly moogly, it's the incredible disappearing ship! (URL) 31 pictures; go in sequence (they don't list that way, sorry). If I can figure out how to make a slideshow, I'll do that eventually. The "joy" sequence must await a good (...) (22 years ago, 8-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates)

Re: New MOC: Mi-24 Hind-D SOV (Special Operations Variant)

Very nice, Chris! I've been toying with the idea of building a Hind for some time now, and hopefully will get around to it by the summer in time for Brickfest. I don't know about that five bladed propeller, I'm tempted to just make it a fourbladed (...) (22 years ago, 8-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  New Lego color

Hi guys and girls. Any of you who follow the Star Wars line might already be aware of this, but Lego has a new color they are using in 7153 Jango Fett's Slave-1. Its a navy/dark blue that when I saw the pieces just SCREAMED out to be used in a late (...) (22 years ago, 7-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: That's quite an extensive backstory you've got there...

Building in the passenger capacity was fairly easy; the passengers themselves were the real surprise. Hasn't anybody else used M-Tron backpack harnesses to give minifigs customizable carrying capacity? The Adventurers packs were a beginning, but I (...)
