I got a wild hair to build a new halftrack to replace the innacurate one I
am currently selling as a kit.  Keeping with the spirit of my original
model, I built a Panzergrenadier manned vehicle based on the famous SdKfz
251 ("Saving Private Ryan," "Enemy At The Gates,"etc,).  This model has
steerable front wheels and room for a 10 minfig crew, all the while
maintaining my target 1:35 scale.

While I was at it I took some pics of other military projects and prototypes
sitting around here, including a B212 Helicopter I built for a "Martrix"
scene in GMLTC's train layout, Some WW2 IR/RC tank experiments, and an
incomplete M-36 Tank Destroyer.  I've built much of this stuff with possible
kit/instructions release and would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks and enjoy!

Dan

(...) General. Those are the first ones I've seen in Lego, they look good. George (23 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Some really nice models here. The level of detail is what I find fascinating, from the tank track wheels on the Panzer to the definition of the chopper nose (Getting the round shape with a square medium is really impressive). Really cool! Joe Meno (23 years ago, 25-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.military)
