  Re: Plane assistance?

(...) I think this will help. Tehy all results from a quick midnight scan so sorry about the quality...:-) (URL) (20 years ago, 23-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: U.S.S. Missouri (for real this time!)

Amazing work Dan, that camouflage really makes it come alive. I wish I could see it in person. Awesome. -Keith (20 years ago, 23-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: U.S.S. Missouri (for real this time!)

(...) Dan! Thanks for the new set of photos. There are so many details to study. I like the 5 inch guns which look very realistic. Your method for the hull sides is excellent. One small detail - what is the marking on the side of one of the (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: U.S.S. Missouri (for real this time!)

(...) Lindsay - it's always nice to hear you opinions and thoughts. Being so busy with my work this past year and a hald has left me starved for building / discussion, obsessing over the brick. I think I'm finally "over" my pissed-offedness about (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: U.S.S. Missouri (for real this time!)

(...) Dan- As expected, it's gorgeous. The Ulithi (pacific) 44/45 camoflauge came out really nicely, though some of the details are hard to make out because of the shake in the images. I'm looking forward to seeing more detailed shots taken at your (...) (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Completed USS Missouri sneak peak...

(...) I gave the USS Duluth to my dad... so it's safe from the parts canibals (for now!). The Missouri is actually a slightly larger scale, so it would dwarf it if they were to be displayed side-by-side. A whole screen of Gearing class destroyers (...)   U.S.S. Missouri (for real this time!)

OK, I got up early today and managed to get the photos from last weekend's GMLTC showing in La Crosse posted... including the long awaited (mostly) finished U.S.S. Missouri model. It's nearly 8 feet long, which prompted me to build a custom stand (...) (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military) !!

  Re: German WW2 Transport Truck

(...) Follow-ups to the actual build: (URL) Sdkfz 251 is taking point. Rebuilds should probably sprinkle some dark gray in for more contrast, IE bottom plates and wheels. I also couldn't find any 4x2 wedges in bricks, just plates. (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: U.S.S. Vignette

(...) Steve, That's a pretty cool idea, akin to the moonbase project. Do you have an overall layout you are building out to? Ed (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.town, lugnet.general, lugnet.build.military)

Re: Completed USS Missouri sneak peak...

(...) Wow. Never seen her in the camo either. Is the USS Duluth still able to provide support (or a parts donation)? Great to to see some new postings here. Ed (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: U.S.S. Vignette (New Room)

Decided that three vignettes weren't enough for today, so I added a new room to my submarine: The Bunk Room, where the sailors can catch up on their 'Z's, in tiny cramped beds. (URL) The whole boat (yes I said boat, submarines are technically boats, (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.town, lugnet.general, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build)

  U.S.S. Vignette

Hey all, My latest vignette project: the U.S.S. Vignette. This will be a series of modular vignettes, which when done should create the interior of an attack submarine. Thus far, it includes: The Torpedo Room: (URL) The Bridge: (URL) And the whole (...) (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.town, lugnet.general, lugnet.build.military)

Re: Completed USS Missouri sneak peak...

(...) Hi Dan! What a great ship your magnificent Missouri is !! The three color camouflage scheme (Measure 32, Design 22D ?) makes it even more impressive. I really hope you can find time to give us more detail photos of her. BTW Is the stand your (...) (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military)

  Completed USS Missouri sneak peak...

Hey folks! I'm still building... just too swamped with work to get to posting much these days... Anyway, my USS Misouri MOC went on public display last weekend for the first time since completion. It's been a really hectic week at work so far, which (...) (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military) !

  Re: Tieran Marine Core Gear

(...) Hey Keith. Thanks for that. Let me know when you finish those variants, I would really like to see them I am working on some ideas myself, one in particular with a light saber kilt. Regards, David (20 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Plane assistance?

(...) Hi Leigh Great news to hear about your Spitfire project. I made a Spit myself in about 1/30 scale a year ago. I choose a dark and light grey color scheme since it is easy to find suitable parts. You can see my version at: (URL) luck - I am (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Plane assistance?

(...) Whoa. That's gonna be friggin' huge..., it's getting into the scale of R/C airplanes. (...) I'd say try to find some alternate schemes. Perhaps there are some nice lesser-known schemes for desert, night, winter, etc. that would let you make (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Tieran Marine Core Gear

(...) Nice work David, I thought the use of the ski was particularly inspired, and the jetpack was a nice compact design. I made copies of each and I'm working on some variants. Thanks for the inspiration. -Keith (20 years ago, 27-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Tieran Marine Core Gear

(...) Really? Is it coming apart? I played around with the parts so that I got a pretty stable MOC. I used new parts also. I shake it around, poke it, and drop it on my desk with no probs :). David. (20 years ago, 26-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
