Crimson Skies Re-Build: C Bar One

Thanks to some (URL) feedback>, I decided to rebuild one of my planes. The Coronado has been re-born as C Bar One (URL) A new, larger powerplant, additional and upgraded armament, incresed wingspan and shortened overall profile should make the (...)   Re: How do you guys do it?

(...) How? Start building. You'll get better. That's not a flippant answer, it's the truth. Do as many of the following things as you can: - Build stuff "in the style of" official sets, perhaps working from their instructions to learn various idioms (...)   Re: A pair of Crimson Skies attempts

(...) And to thik I almost put the cokpit on the front of the Kestrel. Toyed around with the idea for a few minutes then went back to my original idea. Actually the nose was about the last thing I built up, realised it needed more guns. Have toyed (...) (21 years ago, 27-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: A pair of Crimson Skies attempts

(...) Hey thanks for the in depth response! Would probably help if I actually knew more about military aircraft before trying to figure out what my two do :) Funny you mention the P-38, that was my favorite warbird back in high-school... as for the (...)   How do you guys do it?

Ya know, I've been into Lego for a while myself. I haven't had the time or money I'd have liked to have for it over the last few years, but I do still love Lego. I've been coming to this site for a while now, and I just have one question for (...)   Re: A pair of Crimson Skies attempts

Your Kestrel puts me in the mind of a godawfully effective psuedo-fighter more than anything (Psuedo-fighter, a plane about the size of a small bomber, or overly large fighter, more heavily armed, normally somewhat faster and usually only slightly (...)   British Field Artillery

Things have been fairly quiet in Port Brique lately, but the British are reinforcing their contingent in the French colony with field artillery. So far, only one artilleryman, with a light field gun has arrived. (URL) He sports a custom torso, and a (...) Pretty wicked birds you got there. I like how you took the swept back cockpit approach. Fradel (21 years ago, 24-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

A pair of Crimson Skies attempts

Been quite a while since I've posted to lugnet and actually months since I've built anything. However I was recently inspired by the Crimson Skies aricraft I've seen popping up and finally got around to building my own. While I don't have background (...)   New MOC: M-12 Mobile Weapons Platform (MWP)

(URL) Click on Image Well, so this it. My fifth Mobile Platform. Sigh, I wish I was more excited, but after almost four years of building them I feel like moving on to something different. Aha! But that's what the year 2004 is for; a new objective (...) (21 years ago, 20-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

  Lego Saddam Captured!!!

To commemorate this event in history, I made this little diorama of Saddam's capture using my "Conflict Zone - Global Crisis" near-future theme minifigs like the US soldiers and a quickly built "Saddam" (without the homeless look) minifig.   Re: Assorted Tanks

Hi Sun Thanks for the info. Regarding Gallidor - I live in Denmark, (25 mins from Billund!) and you just can't find Gallidor anywhere. Closest I got was an auction on ebay.uk. Anyway, I don't think I am missing too much. But I am curious to see (...) (21 years ago, 14-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) Thanks Chris. I got the tracks from Pitsco Dacta Lego Store: (URL) They're sold as supplemental packs. It's still fairly expensive but much cheaper than getting multiple power pullers. Lego is probably using the profits from the tread to (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Assorted Tanks

Great tanks. I have a question though - almost embarrassed to ask - where do you get the tracks from? I bought the technic "power puller" a while ago and thought I had solved that question. But alas, I would need a hell of a lot of power pullers to (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Crimson Skies - Laramie B122

(...) Thanks Gil! I was pretty happy with the look of the bombs. Unfortunately, I liked them too much to shorten them - which led to the use of the slope-plate, making room for the bombs to be held. The whole bomb bay assembly is built upside down, (...) (21 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)
