  Re: P-51 Mustang,

(...) Geordan, Wow, this looks great, though I couldn't see the cockpit well enough to see the 2x2 brown plate. One minor quibble, should the radiator scoop be more pronounced, or did it vary with the different models? Thanks, George (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: P-51 Mustang,

(...) I wanted to build the plane first and then add in details after if I could, managed to get most of the stuff I wanted in there and still keep it looking like a P-51, which was lucky! (...) Thanks Gary! -Geordan- (...) (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: P-51 Mustang,

(...) Thanks, I think I went a little overboard on them though, maybe slightly beyond realistic, oh well, it was fun! ;-D It looks like a P-51D to me-- (...) Woohoo! that's the best comment ever! (...) I'm looking forward to seeing whatever one of (...) (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: P-51 Mustang,

(...) D-Day stripes into the scheme. It looks like a P-51D to me-- it couldn't be mistaken for anything else! That reminds me...it's time to get back to building. I'm too spent from this week. I need to recharge. Thanks for your wonderful model. LFB (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Technic figure scale armed V-tol.

Another MOC that you have to comment on! Made it be know that this was NOT inspired by the Solotrek personal craft, but rather by the two amazing lego v-tols by Mark and Bram. The propeler surrounds are the only thing similar to the solotrek (...) (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space)

  P-51 Mustang,

It's finally here! Enjoy! (URL) to Mladen for using 2 x 2 brown round plate as the back of the seat. -Geordan- (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Request for help: bomber gun turrets

well here's some pics of my idea, feel free to use it modify it anything, doesn't matter, it may be a little too small for the scale you're working at but I hope it works, of course colour code it, I didn't bother, BTW, this is for the front upper (...)   Re: Request for help: bomber gun turrets

(...) Cool! The only Korean war era plane I've ever considered is the tigercat, congrats for being the first! (I think :-D)> (...) I'm no master yet, but I have some experience and a lot of unshown tinkering with turrets etc. so I'll go on it (...) (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Request for help: bomber gun turrets

I'm working on a rather ambitious project - a minifig-scale WWII/Korean War bomber (1 stud = 1 foot). It is the Navy's PB4Y-2 "Privateer", which is derived from the B-24. My dad flew Privateers in the Korean War (dropping flares, not bombs). So far (...) (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build)

  Re: MOC: Stealth Fighter Revealed

(...) I wouldn't even begin to know how to make a DAT of it... I may temporarily dismantle some of the primary components and take a few pictures if people really want to see some of the internal construction details. (23 years ago, 13-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: MOC: Stealth Fighter Revealed

(...) The stiffness of the model seems OK. I can pick it up by the wings which seems to be the natural way to handle it anyway. I didn't reinforce the side engine intakes because I didn't want to tie everything down while I was still moving (...) (23 years ago, 13-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: MOC: Stealth Fighter Revealed

Congrats! Very well done! makes me want to run out and build a scale SR-71 Blackbird to match it. (23 years ago, 13-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: New micro fig diorama...

Oops, sorry, shoulda put FUT .military, sorry castle! (...) Thanks! The funny thing is I originally had a picture story planned for this, but decided against it for no reason. (...) Nooo...ooo! Keep building! resist the urge! -Geordan- (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build)

  Re: MOC: Stealth Fighter Revealed

(...) No, yours is *great* the way it is! However, my approach to the problem of a lifting body is quite different. You may find it interesting, even if you don't use the ideas to improve your model. How's the mechanical strength of your Stealth (...) (23 years ago, 11-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)

New Wallpaper- In light of today... Missing Man Formation

I don't know how you feel about this, but I did the one thing I can do well. And that is scenes like these. I made this Missing Man formation of three of my new "David" fighters in tribute to the lives lost at the WTC today. If you have comments (...)   New micro fig diorama...

This should of been posted a while ago, anyway... I thought I might post somethin' to take our minds away from the devestating incident that happened earlier today. :-( (even though it's not a particularily peaceful model :-o) Here ya go, the first (...)   Re: MOC: Stealth Fighter Revealed

The most realistic Lego MOC i have seen, the smoothness helps a lot but the proportions and the angles are what makes it. Any chance of a DAT of it? I always feel that the people that can make models like this should be headunteed by Lego asap! Tim (23 years ago, 11-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.military)
